2015 Worlds Gala Exhibition March 29

I see. That... wouldn't surprise me. :slink: I even posted a while ago--she can't skate her competitive programs in that dress because it's a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen when she goes for Biellmann. Looks like I was right.

Which is a shame since it's such a beautiful dress...I guess it's more suited to hanging out at the bar than spinning around on ice!

I......don't think I enjoy this program  Oh he only tried 1 jump

I did not enjoy the program but I enjoy Javi's attractiveness. I really, really, do hahahaha.

I......don't think I enjoy this program

Yeah it's weird...I'm so-so on lyrics in competitive programs, but it seems exhibition programs with no lyrics just aren't as compelling.

BTW that kung-fu kick I see some of the men do, did Elvis Stojko come up with that one?

Is it very mean of me to say that I would have prefered another performance of the aerobics class? Yes, he's been doing it for years, but... it's just so much fun, and, to be honest, I've been missing that a bit this Gala.

This song again? That's it, I'm giving up on this gala! *storms off* (Well, not really, but sheesh, two repeated songs?)

i think the main issue for IOC is not money... it's the fact that the sport isn't globally practiced... it's popular in 4 or 5 countries... to be an Olympic sport, it requires much more than that..

I think it's definitely popular in more countries than 4 or 5, but I don't have the facts off hand to prove it. However, 20 countries are sending teams to Worlds next week and I think there were 19 or 20 countries represented at Junior Worlds, including a handful of teams from the Southern Hemisphere.

popular and having a chance to medal.. sorry that wasn't clear... it's traditionally finland, canada, russia and usa in the top... and it never moves... IOC almost wanted to cancel women's hockey because it was the same deal...

Eh I dunno...I mean the Nordic countries always win the Nordic Combined Skiing (obviously :P) but that's still a thing in the Olympics.
