Mao posted on her blog today. Apparently she started to train officially in May and that she really misses competing and wants to come back? Nothing official as of yet. If anyone can provide a more complete translation, it'd be much appreciated.

Yeah, it seems like she is not sure yet; she said she will decide once she gets back to competition level. And she is saying to please wait until then.
I can not wait anymore. So this night we won't have a clear answer.Mao posted on her blog today. She emphasized at the end that the press con today is for The Ice. What a classy and considerate girl. I think she knows that the media would be shifting the focus on her instead so she took to her blog and explained it first.

Thank you!. Now I can just wish Mao the best in her training and that hopefully goes well.Ha, ha. As of now (noon in Japan), her official site has crashed, due to too many accesses.
I can't provide a translation for this reason, but she did say she would try for a come back, but whether she would or not really depended on her training.
I think there's a realistic possibility that in the midst of training, she will get injured, in which case that would be the end of her endeavor.
Getting back into top shape will be quite a dangerous road, though I trust that her team will do everything possible to prevent it. Good luck Mao!!![]()

I've asked for this before, but will say it again: get Kurt Browning to choreograph the step sequence!I want Mao to try new choreographers too! Lori and Tatiana have been good but I wanna see what other choreographers can do for her (mainly new step/ choreo sequences :-D )
This feel very anticlimactic. ..
Full translation:
It has been a long time since I last wrote.
In order to come back to competition as an athlete, I went in March (to Sato Nobuo) to ask him to be my coach, and began practice from May with my coach.
During my time off, I began to feel that I could still do it, and I naturally came to long for the sense of accomplishment and joy that I felt when I accomplished my best performance in competition. My coach has been telling me that if all goes well, I may be able to participate in competitions, and if it doesn’t go well, then I may not be able to participate in competition.
Right now, having just begun my journey, I cannot positively declare that I will participate in competition. If I regain my form to the point where I can participate in competition, I will seek counsel from my coach, after which a decision will be reached, and then I hope to personally relay the news to you, so I ask you to please wait until such time arrives.
I want to go as far as I can go on this challenge, so I ask for your continued support.
So that I may make a full comeback, I hope to practice every day harboring hope for my own self.
Please be aware that today’s press conference is actually a conference about The ICE.
Asada Mao
She is adorable and thus I adore her. To see this tiny sprite jump 3 3 axels in Vancouver and so graciously accept silver. So hard for her. She has given many lovely moments so even if she just skates exhibitions her soul is on her sleeve. AsadaMao captures hearts no matter what her placements. Good luck Mao.
