As expressed in the Chinese Names thread, I like Os' interpretation of Patrick's Chinese as Great Group Of Chans. After all, he started the Chan/Chen Dynasty rocking the figure skating world today.I acknowledged though that Lu was the original Great Chen.
Cool, well here is the official Chinese press article with the title, "Chen/Chan brothers and sister rule the ice altar in North America". They have Patrick pictured at the top. The article talks about how Patrick, Nathan, and Karen continue Michelle Kwan's figure skating legacy and spirit in North America.

What if two things were possible for the global skating audience, so that they could appreciate Patrick and other great skaters....?
1] A 3D movie were made with some of the top skaters and their programs.... AND/OR
2] Some of the major ISU competitions were streamed into select movie theatres simultaneously, in the way that the Metropolitan Opera has done.
Gack! I really want Patrick recorded for posterity in a way that truly shows the full richness of his skating... What would have to happen to make it so?
That's a great idea, TGee! Someone should present it to the ISU or to Skate Canada and the other national skating associations!
