Patrick Chan

Why do I get the feeling that they've been saying "hopefully next year" for a long time?

That would be nice, since that seems to be the only time we ever see him perform Esqualo - during the summer.

We probably won't see Patrick skating with this costume on...:laugh:

GO PATRICK

Okay, phew! That was good to know it's okay to multi post here! ;)

GO PATRICK!!!!:cheer:

I think SOI is just posting random pictures, and not indicating that Patrick is necessarily going to skate to Esqualo in their show this year, but who knows because Canadian rehearsals haven't even happened yet.:confused2: US ones are only a few days in now. :yahoo:

they could just be reusing last season's pictures

omg, 4everchan, you're the one that got to page 600. I was going to suggest a little contest to see who would get that honour and of course, it goes to you. :yahoo:

:hb: congratulations to you and to us!!

he already marks the same jumps (2a, 3t, 3s)with one less revolution... all he needs is to get one more spin in and a proper IJS stepseq

Yeah, nothing to it, turning 2A, 3T, and 3S into 3A, 4T, and 4S, and one more spin and a proper IJS StSq, IOW, a current OGM worthy SP. Really, anybody can do that.

may I remind you my dear VB that you said Elegy was too artsy to be a SP... I trust Patrick... not just anybody.. but Patrick can fix it ;) into the most wonderful SP ;)

I am sure we agree my dearest ;)

Woohoo! Congratulations 4everchan for starting the 600th page! And to BBHILL for posting a quarter of a thousand posts!

Now, to celebrate, we should all stretch on the floor like Patrick did here:

On second thought, I wouldn't be able to untwist myself or get up if I did that... :eeking:

Dear all,
I am new here and I have followed the thread for a little while. It's so nice to see such support and genuine interest for Patrick! :D I "discovered" him during this years world championships in Helsinki. I am a newbie when it comes to figure skating, but I am generally interested in sports. I watched the mens short program since I saw that a swedish guy was in the competition and I thought it could be interesting to see how it went for him, (I am from Sweden myself) but I ended up watching the whole competition! And the skater that I thought stood out, and who's short program moved me the most was Patrick's. That's how it all started. I've watched videos on Youtube of his previous programs etc and tried to gather as much info as much about him and his skating to "catch up" on what I have missed so far. I am looking forward to following and taking part of this thread.

Dear Vague,

Let me welcome you to our fabulous fan fest thread celebrating everything Patrick Chan!!!! As you have noticed, we are a bunch of crazy people ;) everyone has its particular style of posting and interest ;) I am master at swooning ;) I find Patrick just as gorgeous as his skating ;)

Here on this forum, they say, post long, and post often.... I truly took the invitation seriously.

I would suggest to you to visit vivley's blog http://pcskatingfan.com/

She has done so much work for all of us fans already.... I find it very useful especially when I want to see Patrick at his best . The videos here do that ... (I am sure Vivley will add the SP from Worlds at one point in there but I think it's on the blog already in the WORLDS posts....)

I am so glad you discovered Patrick when he puts on his best performance ever of Black Bird. It was magical.. I had seen it live at Nationals in Ottawa and was... "erm.. okay... nice" ... but in Helsinki, he was in such symbiosis with the music and choreography... To me it is the best SP of all times by a male skater under IJS.

There you go... I said it. Were you in the arena in Helsinki or did you follow on TV?

Hope you come visit us again!!!! It's nice to have fans from all over the world posting in here!!!

600 pages! You guys have been busy! Next goal is to get to 1000 before the Olympics. That's more than doable, right?

Welcome vague to the fest where we celebrate Patrick and his skating! From now on you are our Sweden Bureau. :)

BTW, as cra..... er, diversely eccentric fans of Patrick Chan, we are not vague in our appreciation and support. :) And especially not in swooning. ;) Join in with your enthusiasm please, be it rational, reasoned, visceral, or wacky. You will fit right in.

Thank you so much for the warm welcoming Violet Bliss and 4everchan. I've noticed that you are a bunch of crazy and fun people (don't get me wrong - this is meant in the best of ways :)), and I am glad that I'm now one of you, and happy to be your Sweden Bureau! Oh, and I will definitely take some part in the swooning. I mean, you can't help but notice that Mr Chan is a veeery handsome guy!
I did unfortunately not see Patrick in Helsinki, but on tv. After seeing "Blackbird" I just had to watch the final/long programmes. I really liked A Journey too, Patrick's so expressive - a real artist.
I know I read a description here of that choreo, that it is like a journey, with its turns, twists and stops, new beginnings etc. (was that you 4everchan who wrote that?) After reading that and seeing A Journey again - I just love it even more. So beautiful.
I've seen that you post what's "next" or "coming up" for Patrick (competitions, shows etc) and that's great! Oh, and another thing, please have patience with me - I've seen that you sometimes use abbreviations that I don't understand sometimes and I will probably ask you guys what it means. I'm a newbie when it comes to figure skating, but I pick up things fast! :con2:
