Patrick Chan

Hehe

Another thing - are you guys gonna see the WTT live somewhere, I mean, can you stream it live or something?

i am planning for an allnighter with the CBC stream and some beverages.... oh oh... I will be posting in the competition thread too if GS doesn't die like last night

Well it depends on what's down the rabbit hole. ;)

I had previously posted this photochan but I removed it quickly because at the time I was concerned about copyright infringement. I thought it would be cute to re-post it now. :)

I think all the posters in this fanfest contribute mightily in his or her own way! :clapper:
Great photochan!!! :points: I've been down a Patrick rabbit hole many times and it is so wonderful (until you realize your real life needs attention, that is :o:).

this thread in the Edge mentions an article about Patrick....

the article says what we knew already : that Patrick wants a healthy life after skating and won't follow the quad craze at 26... so a few of us including our favourite rabbit ;) spoke up because it's not really news and nothing dramatic.

However, in the article, i noticed this

i mean.. i have been dreaming about seeing him land a 4F just because it's so nice... when well done (and Patrick's 3F is the prettiest of them all) so i am dreaming with eyes wide open... BUT... is this the first time he is actually saying this to the press? DID I MISS SOMETHING?
The headline alone has enough negativity to spark the debate - wow. :slink: This is a bit of a tangent, but why do some people choose to intentionally find comments by skaters they don't like and then bash them for those comments? I guess I just don't go looking for terrible stuff my non-favorites say just so I can have another reason to say I don't like them. If I truly don't like a skater, I'm not interested in what they say, so I'll skip their comments. Or if I do happen to read something negative from them, I'll choose not to post about it. I like to post positive things and read positive posts from others. There are things that are more worth getting upset over than skaters' media comments. Am I weird for thinking this way? Occasionally in the past, I would vent in this thread about other people's negative comments about Patrick, but after Sochi I decided that even that wasn't worth my time and energy. :noshake:

Nathan Chen : http://www.isu.org/en/single-and-pa...ws/2017/04/featured-interview-nathan-chen-usa

(this boy is soooo boring, and i am so sad by the future of FS)

About Chan: "I spent a good portion of the beginning of the season there, training with Patrick. He is a very, very positive, a great guy. He has a lot of experience on his shoulders and he is honestly one of the most positive skaters I’ve skated with. He never really takes competition as something that will try to bring me down. It doesn’t really affect our relationship. We’ve been good friends."
Following Patrick’s lead. Even greater wisdom gained since Sochi and also since moving to Marina.

Bring on the 4F if Patrick so desires. As long as he makes it through next season healthy and happy.

i am getting a haircut today... i was joking saying i was going from Poje style to Pchiddy style but now, I think i will aim for longer than Patrick ;)

Good luck! I just got a haircut and my beloved stylist cut it a bit too short, as usual! ;)

I'm allowed to be lazy. :p Especially in the company of diligent posters. :)

In the world, there are those who work hard and those who let them. :)

Ha, I used to be in the lazy group. But somehow Patrick (and you) spurred me to action!

610!!!
610 before WTT!! :yahoo:

GO PATRICK!!!

Easy peasy!!

:laugh2:

here is what i think about you my dearest VB : I am pretty sure you work very hard or have worked very hard all your life ;) one doesn't get into violet bliss without following a path filled with challenges to overcome! So kudos to you, for now, letting us do the petty work :) perhaps one day we will reach your state of plenitude and happiness!

Hi guys :hap85: This is my first time posting here in Patrick's fan thread! I just can't take the off the scale quad mania in the main forum. I want to say I am all for Patrick and I REALLY appreciate Patrick's artistry and immaculate skating skills and exquisite musicality. His Chopin FS is my favourite program of his, the choreography and interpretation is pure art. Every detail is a gem. Keep going Pchiddy!:cheer:

you are very welcome to join us in celebrating Patrick nolangoh whether you become a regular visitor or not! As you can imagine, most of us in this thread love quads too but Patrick's skating is really what brings us together.

Are you going to watch live?

I am going to sleep now... I feel tired, which means that after a few hours, I will wake up, do some work and then, it will be time for WTT!!! WOOT!!!

Go Patrick!!!!

I overall agree with Patrick's comments on concerns of what all these quads (and really the training of them) is going to do to their health. I also worry about whether the boots/blades are going to be able to catch up with the training of these quads.

The technology is going to have to get better in order to: 1) help the body take the amount of impact, and 2) be able to take the quads themselves. We saw at Worlds were Nathan had issues because his boots were getting worn down quicker than most skaters. I wonder if training for a 5-6 quad FS is going to give Nathan equipment issues next season. Not to mention that he already has had a significant hip injury.

Good Luck to Patrick at the WTT! I'm mainly rooting for my country (USA), but I will admit that they will have a hard time against Canada and probably also Russia.
