I trusted Patrick to bring out the soulfulness and spirituality of this song with his ethereal and sublime skating. He did already at this time of the season. Incredible.

Prayer for Patrick to show the world Ideal Skating even in competitions and even as he raises the technical difficulty along the way.

Sublime is indeed the perfect word to describe his skating. To me, Patrick has already shown the world his unique style and glorious mastery of his art. I think these programs confirm his legacy. I am so in shock that I cannot move from the couch.... i haven't even eaten today..... just emotionally shaken by the beauty of this new program....

I am really touched by your close analysis, thoughts and kind words of Patrick' new programs and his pure skating :love::love::love:. They brought tears to my eyes by reading your posts and watching Chiddy' FS:).
 
I love the programs like everybody else. :love: I hope Patrick and his coaching staff do not become complacent because I am looking forward to seeing both the sp and lp grow, evolve and become the masterpieces that they are capable of being. :dance:

Isn't it wonderful that he has debuted them so early in the season? We are so fortunate that we don't have to wait! :) And special thanks to the video uploaders! :thank:

Yes. But part of the excitement is the expectation to see them even better and polished and in HD if not in person. Imagine!

Eta: When it comes to his skating, Patrick is never complacent but a perfectionist. I hope with his new mindset, perfectionism is applied in the approach, but not in judgment.

Great timing, lol! ;) I started working on this two days ago. I wasn't going to change my avatar until after Patrick debuted his Hallelujah program. I had no idea it would be this weekend. :laugh:

Just a little explanation - that picture of Patrick was taken on practice ice at Sochi and it is my ABSOLUTE favourite. :love: I was mesmerized by the edge control and the total body (and facial) expression. :love: I was never able to find a way of using it until now. :)

And VB, it would be great if we can all see these programs in person! :agree:
 
Oh....Myyyyy....Just watched Patrick's programs. Skate Canada just got even more interesting! :laugh:

Patrick's such flawless performance at this time of year leaves me in awe and breathless. I've already watched the fancam Hallelujah numerous times. Having got my breath back, I've begun to have some thoughts. (Hey, nobody is making you read this!)

He has come a long long way from the beginning of 2015-16 season when he returned from his year and a half sabbatical. Just as Coach Colson had laid out a plan for his training and it was implemented even after his death, Patrick's comeback journey was planned out by him and Coach Johnson and it's being followed even after Johnson left his team. He began his PyeongChang Olympic journey very cautiously and from way behind the top Men. It was a very tumultuous season both mentally and situationally. He survived, meanwhile upping his BV as scheduled. He made further great progress last season though it may not show so clearly in competition results as he finished 5th at both Worlds. Yet his technical and mental developments have been tremendous and amazing if you examine them. Even this pre-season program debut is a milestone. He has reached the level that many elite Men wish to have as an end-of-season peak. I'm not blasé but am extremely impressed. What a season this is going to be! My heart is filled and will be refilled over and over.

unfortunately, I can't justify a trip for a skating competition this fall... but I will go to ACI so hopefully Patrick goes there ;) ... and for Shoma well... he better be at worlds in 2020 ;)
 
I wasn't finished with my thoughts yet. Ha ha.

Patrick looks to be so into his music that he was one with it. This makes it a good choice. He can just be in the music and shut out everything and everybody while he performs. Easy Zone to get into, baby!

Go Patrick! Get in there every time, especially at the Olympics!

The SP scores are higher than I thought. Well, that's the magic of 2 quads. The LP scores are much lower than I expected. :confused: Why such low TES? 2 quads and 2 3As, right? And clean. technically, that is. Performance is far far more than clean.
