2017 JPG Latvia Mens FS

I forgot to ask about Kims! Of the Latvian boys he seemed the most promising. I will check his protocols later.

Kims did a fairly good job, he just completely lost steam at the end of the program, and pretty much gave up on his final spin. He also looked down for most of the program, but he landed his jumps fairly well.

Ah well, his spins weren't great in the SP either. He's like the complete opposite of Deniss  :thank:

Yeah, Ted is saying it all, really. And this is not the first time. The Men's competitions so far are just... no bringing it.

Ted is as disappointed with the men this season as we are. They definitely need to work more on stamina. We still haven't seen Erokhov, Torgashev, Shimada & a few others so I hope someone will step up and deliver something decent.

Yeah, I think the season of the Olympics for the juniors is a rebuilding year, because a lot of the top talent has left for seniors to try to make it to the Olympics. Just like how the year after the Olympics for Seniors is a rebuilding year, because there are a lot of retirements after every Olympics.

Kudos to Yakau for bring Whole Lotta Love to Figure Skating. It's so amusing in its inappropriateness.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. If you're age eligible, you'd want to try and do seniors and have a shot at getting into the Olympics. But it leaves the men's field in juniors scarily empty of the stand-out skaters.
The ladies is such a different story... there are so many junior ladies, too young for the Olympics, but who would put a lot of the seniors to shame.

Russia has a lot of great junior boys around 13/14 but most of them don't have stable 3A yet...therefore no assignment :(

Yuto! :cool14:
He looks disappointed at the ending...
His jump quality was up in Brisbane, but it kind of went a bit off again.
He does looks a bit more relax at the kiss and cry, which is good, Yuto, you have got a long way to go. Keep fighting :agree:
