2017 GP Cup of China Mens FS

These replays are massively unflattering showing massive hook turns everywhere.

i just dont get it why so many using moulin rouge this year...

but

oh wow, very good music structure!!!
i dont feel him at the beginning but he is there for final step sequence

he is not there yet perfomance vise, but he will get there and his umping skills are awsome

Good skate, but I honestly prefer a good program with a killer step-sequence to a jump-fest. Obviously, the judges would disagree, and a good skater need to be able to do both, but still...

There's still the 3rd spot for Jason :p

And for what it's worth, his score is the same exact as Jason's no-quad Lombardia FS, which is his SB score at the moment. Jason still has a 15+ point PCS buffer internationally.

I think Vincent needs to take a couple of those quads out for now. He doesn't have the stamina yet to do them cleanly. Nathan when he started doing all those quads last season was stronger physically and mentally to. Vincent doing 3-4 quads and nice triples will still probably beat Adam and Max and make the Olympic team.

And Nathan started with 5, saw it was making him messy and took OUT quads (at NHK and GPF he had 4 only). Which helped him, actually. Vincent is adding even while being inconsistent at landing them.

Only an 8 point drop in TES? The tech panel was very generous, then.

Very ambitious program from Vincent, Though he mostly just jumps and spread eagles

I think we might be saying goodbye to presenting Jason brown's beautiful skating in the Olympics

Noooooo!!!

But seriously, unless Vincent starts getting a lot more consistent, I don't know that he's a lock. Jason has a lot more experience and recognition; if it doesn't look like Vincent is a likely podium contender, I could see the fed sticking with fan favourite Jason, even if he won't podium, rather than risking an embarrassing flop from Vincent.

For some reason i thought the US had only 2 spots for men

I forgot they JUST made it 3 last Worlds :hap85:

And for what it's worth, his score is the same exact as Jason's no-quad Lombardia FS, which is his SB score at the moment. Jason still has a 15+ point PCS buffer internationally.

I'll add that Zhou's 256 here still has him below Jason and Max in terms of SB for total scores.

Fall on the second 3A damn.

But I very much appreciate and thank Sasha for doing a donut spin without dropping his free leg in order to grab his skate ('cause it drives me nuts when people do that!)

I should probably never complain about the emptiness of Nathan's programs, after what Zhou showed.

And a very generous panel. Very.
