Agree. Maybe send Zhou to 4CC and/or worlds instead, assuming someone from the Oly team wants to sit it out, to squeak out a medals from a presumably shallow field.

I think Vincent is still in the mix for the Olympic team. My only take is that the scores show he isn't an absolute lock at the moment. His scoring ceiling, of course, is higher than every other U.S. man not named Nathan Chen. It's hard to tell where things will go.

Also this competition isn't over yet...256 may be enough for a medal depending on how this group does.

Yeah, he is lacking in quality of jumps (GOE) and PCS comparing to Jason. If US judges at Nationals would be strict in UR calls, Jason will beat him with clean non quad skate.

Still, very impressive for Zhou. 256 for your first senior Grand Prix is sensational.

None of the Olympic team will go to 4CC. It's too close together. You'll have skaters A, B, C at the Olympics and D, E, F at 4CC.

Of course, the US has that luxury. It's likely that Team Australia will still send Brendan, Kailani, Brooklee and Katia and Harley to 4CC for the ranking points.

You know that I am a stickler for technical proficiency. It doesn't always have an agenda. I think it does everyone a disservice when the technical panel is soft.

Mainly on the quad and it's like 50/50. And yes he got one for the 3A, but I think that was more of a stingy panel.
