2018 US Championships Sr. Ladies SP

Internationally Bradie would have been Mirai too. In fact the margin would have been wider since Mirai's 3-3 would probably not have been given the benefit of doubt :confused2:

That score seems pretty fair... I'm surprised about pcs but I think that Bradie performed from start to end, but at the beginning you could tell (rightfully so) that Mirai was a little nervous. The free is going to be so exciting though!

As a program, Bradie has the upper hand I think. It can go down a storm in Korea, such a smart choice of music (One of their biggest epic war films ost, saving private ryan mixed with legend of the fall type of theme..).

Robbed? Her score beat Gracie's score from 2014 when Gracie skated clean and this wasn't nearly as good especially with the mistake on the axel. She got overscored as well as Bradie did.

In 2014, carolina's sublime sp only got 74. This year, it is worth 82. 4 years of inflation, come on.

You all are aware that anything up to a 1/4 gets benefit of the doubt? I swear when I read comments, people think UR is anything that isn't 100% rotated and fully backward. Mirai's jumps were clean, by those standards.

And for those of you complaining about inflation:
32 PCS for Bradie
31 for Mirai

You think the Russians would be giving that to their own top skaters in any year, much less an olympic one??

Yes, robbed. We can only look at scores within this one competition and if Bradie who doesn't know what music even is, got that, then heck yes, Mirai should have been ahead.

But USFSA wants Bradie because she has stable jumps and will do anything to insure they get her. It's just how it is.

Proud of Mirai. Not perfect, but shown great resolve.

It's up to Ashley & Karen now. So far 1, 2 for my faves to be on the podium.

Interesting song choice. Normally I wouldn't really like it but it actually works for Emmy.

I don't know about this version of "One More Try," but I enjoyed her skating. Looking forward to seeing what she does in the future.
