LOL.
Sorry, I didn't want to mention them but it IRKED me so badly.
I for one appreciate that you mentioned it. People need to know how inappropriate Dave is. And that is putting it kindly.

Oh come on CSG! I have been telling you all to watch out for Angela for a good year or so now, so how is this a surprise?![]()

Competition and practice are two entirely different things. You can land everything at high percentage in practice, but a competition is a whole different ball game. It's perfectly normal that it's taking this long for a jump of this difficulty to settle in as this is her first season with it. Again, she's not introducing just anything, it's the 3A that has many men stumped. She's actually doing quite well. And she's doing it in an Olympic season, when it's pretty much do or die for her, considering her age. Now that's stress. She's doing more than fine.
And no, she was not overscored compared to Bradie.

But she doesn’t get extra points at the Olympics because of her age or how personally difficult it is for her to master the triple axel. I think it was smart for her to add it to get a fresh look, but you can’t help but wonder if she would have been better off improving her other jumps and combos instead.
The arrogance of this astonishes me. Work up a new program right after nationals? She’s assuming she’ll go to the Olympics? With a repeat performance on Friday, she might not even make the Worlds team.... she might get 4CCs, but that’s in, like, 2weeks. No time for a new short before then, and Ashley doesn’t do 4CCs anyway.

Starr has an it factor that no one else has;
I was an Angela fan a while ago! But then she fell off the map. Loved her reaction and attack throughout the program.
She has a very nice 3-3 ... but my favourite 3-3 was Amber Glenn's - a shame about her Rippon lutz though. She was lovely but buried herself with that error.
Starr's 3-3 was very impressive too - and loooove her spunk. Future champion maybe!
Did you see how much she scored with the 3A today? Even with a -2.14 GOE on that 3A, she still scored almost two points more than a clean 2A. Even like this, it's worth it. It also didn't disrupt her program, so she only gains with it.
She has also added the 3Lz combo to her free, she's now landing both the 3Lz-3T and the 3F-3T so I am honestly not even sure what it is that you want from her.
This isn't about any extra points due to her age. This is all about pure BV which yes, she's getting, thank you very much. TES 41.90, highest of the day, even with the iffy 3A.
I’d been a fan for years, but she never seemed to excel through a full competition, so. I lost interest.
Really, I hope Wang makes the Olympic team along with Nagasu and Tennell. It would be so refreshing to have a team like that. There’s no chance to win a singles medal; how wonderful it would be to reward hard work, commitment, and talent. And give the next generation some hope about what lies ahead.
Actually, I would prefer to see Starr and not Wang make the Olympics. That would be even more refreshing. Starr has an it factor that no one else has; it would put someone with Olympic experience into the 2022 quad if Mirai retires and maybe Bradie too. I could watch Starr all day...
I am so not a fan of Karen. I don’t like her lines, her connection to music and audience, everything seems so pokey, stiff, no power.... That hideous costume....so not loonlike; whoever made it has clearly never seen a loon...loons are mostly black, white throats, and white markings against black. The real loon colors and markings would have been so effective on a dress.
It's pity she doesn't have the skating. Starr cannot cut it in the Junior circuit, never mind the Senior.

Bradie is super impressive in her ability to remain calm, cool, collected and focused and just tune out the Oly pressure. I thought she gave a great performance, being the only skater not to make a mistake, and fully deserved her scores.

Hmm..this was interesting!
This title is Mirai's for the taking. This is the second year in a row that the judges have put her in the perfect position going into the free. They are so ready for her to make a statement and if she hits, she's the winner. Now or never, girl. Also, my dearest Mirai, start prepping that triple axel/triple toe for the Olympics. Why not!
I think Bradie is in unless she straight up bombs and I think Ashley will overtake Karen and the 4th place girl(whose name I do not recall).
Lynn clarified in subsequent tweets that Ashley said that in response to a question about whether her PCS were low in part because judges were too familiar with Hip Hip. She didn't just bring it up out of the blue.
