Not sure what the exact reason was, but possibly for more political clout. And her packaging/pcs isn't going to go very far with Tom Z(even if she's a natural). Also, Frank has coached champions and world/olympic medalists, Tom Z has not.

Who will WIN this thing? Will it be the crowning moment for Bradie or will Mirai repeat as national champ a decade later?

If both of these ladies bombs (which I don't see happening) and Ashley skate her absolute best and she wins, that would be another great comeback story.

But there's no bigger story than Mirai's should she be wearing the crown tonight. After so many ups and downs, heartbreaks and disappointments; how satisfying that would be for never quitting all these years, but kept on coming back believing that she can do it. Not just her, but the entire skating world anxiously waiting for this moment to arrive will be so ELATED if it happens. Tears will be pouring down tonight. I just have this feeling...

If Mirai lands her 3A cleanly and both her and Bradie skate clean, TES should carry Mirai to the top of the podium.
