Frank would say the cold air in the rinks preserves the skin.
Probably doesn't hurt if hitting the peak of your career as a teenager means you can be 20 years retired and still a young-un.

I was wondering what the official reason for withdrawing was, too. If I were to speculate, I doubt she ever planned to skate her free skate. She knew she couldn't do the FS competitively, but she wanted to skate in her hometown and be in the spotlight once more, so she practiced only her SP and skated within her limits and doesn't embarrass herself in the FS.

unfortunately A LOT of people died in pursuit of it........... at least on the skating end of it
