2018 US Championships Sr. Ladies FS

She's been once already and she barely showed up this season. What did she expect?

Can someone tell me why she never does any senior Bs like most other top skaters?

Ashley did so much publicity for this event and that takes up training time.

seriously? no way; international judges will give her very low pc scores

Actually she is the one I think who could replicate her score if she skated the exact same internationally. Of those two that is;)

I'm so heartbroken for Ashley :sad21:

It feels like the judges/USFSA really just didn't want Ashley to go to Korea. :disapp:

This could not be more apparent. Wagner didn't help her cause with her errors, but she was majorly held down in PCS in both segments, especially compared to her international usual.

Bradie deserves the win, but I'm sure they'll give her everything in the protocol (the 2A+3T looked UR to me), and that won't stack up internationally when the ISU judges get to her. But fair is fair and she was the most consistent of all the skaters here.

So happy for Mirai though! Such great emotion from her.

If they pick Ashley over a 3rd place again, I'm going to be so so upset! Bradie,Mirai, Karen should be on the team!

While Bradie is totally boring and forgettable, it is great to see a consistent american skater for a change.

Karen and Mirai :yahoo: :hap93:

Why are they all of a sudden against Ashley? And 69 PCS for Bradie?????? No waY, what a gift.
Need to fix the scoring system. Good tech does NOT MEAN good PCS. AARRGGHH!!!!!

The system is fine, it is the people who are abusing it to suit their agenda. The fix was so obvious since the SP...

I feel bad for Karen, she’ll be in the washroom non stop until the team is officially announced. :( I’m gutted for Ashley, but Karen should get the third spot.

Honestly Ashley should have won nationals last year..us fed overlooked Karen's urs to give her the win. I
Guess we should have seen then that they would put Karen ahead at any chance 💔💔💔

I feel like Ashley paid for her sins of not doing summer comps, 3-peating her long up until now, and withdrawing from the long of SA with her PCS here...

Also while I will not doubt that Bradie laid down the cleanest programs of the competition, her PCS needed to calm down. I was really hoping Mirai would get her 2nd national title but yeah the tiny errors add up I guess...

ETA I will give the maddest of props to Bradie for handling all this pressure that started with the hype building after getting bronze at SA. Well done. I hope Bradie and Mirai are in for the team event *fingers crossed*

Imagine if Mirai had laid down her perfect 8 triple free from practice tonight though... alas

Happy that the final group (mostly) brought it. Bradie is a deserving champion, although I think I liked Mirai a bit better tonight.
I'll be very surprised if the selection committee deviates from the top three medalists, TBH.

when it comes to nationals i am not going to say, but if they call the ur 's like they should in all nationals.

the scores wouldn't be what we see.
