2018 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event Day 1

So after the very first event, with Canada's man delivering an awful performance, they've already like won the Gold medal. The structure of this event is just ridiculous.

I'm happy P/C aren't doing the team event, there is a CAN judge but no FRA judge to balance it out. If Patrick gets 45 PCS already... But let's see how D/R are scored, it's another panel for sure.

Tara, please stop yapping so much. Are the producers behind the scenes telling you to do so through your earpiece? If not, please tone it down. Now. Otherwise it’s going to be a long (and really annoying) two and a half weeks. Thank you.

If you can watch it on NBC online, the world commentators are much better IMHO. Not a screech among them yet. Have no idea who they are, the lady is British and the guy must be American because I can't detect an accent.

Yas. Get those h8rs angry Shoma Numero Uno. :dance3:

Ah, isn't that wonderful?

You could see that Shoma was just as nervous as Nathan, Mikhail and Co. He was shaking at the end. But he handled it better. I'm glad he got that out of his way.

Hopefully this lights a fire under Nathan ass... Shoma looks ready.

USA was a little hurt by the result, but OAR got hurt the most, and Canada is probably jumping for joy at the hot messes that allowed Chan to take third.

Ok I'm a huge Nathan fan, but a small part of me is loving that NBC must be sweating bullets now. They put a lot of money into all this hype :dev2::laugh2:

I think the media and off-ice sponsorship buildup, the superbowl commercial and cameras following Nathan everywhere he went in the arena, even to the bathroom was just way too much. Nathan looked decent in the brief warm-up, but he did not seem to have his feet underneath him, nor was his mind focused. I wish someone would tell NBC to turn down the OTT heat on this one figure skater, good grief! Tara also needs to temper her non-genuine cutesy hypey nonstop blather. What an underwhelming men's team event by everyone, and I do mean everyone!

Well, It is

but to be fair no one could've predicted half of the performances here
So who even know what's to come, i'd stop predicting at least till
the Ladies finish their SPs
