Predictions: Zagitova is going to come out on the top. (obviously, considering the PCS boost she's received of late)
Carolina will come second, with three triples and a 53 TES.
Sakamoto will come third and all hell will break loose over how Caro gets the unfair favour of the judges.

All predictions and flippant-ness aside, I really hope Mirai gets the 3A clean in this event. No double footing or UR. Just clean, big 3A.

I'm terrified because I feel like USA needs a figure skating team medal for their overall medal count. The ice dancing judges have been tough and I'm not convinced that the Shibs will beat the Italians, and I know Mirai won't beat Carolina. I'm only confident that Adam will place above Matteo because he's Italy's weak link.

which is incredibly stupid thing to do. skate Canada is afraid to take some risk and by that they are denying their skaters the oportunity to medal. luck of support from the federation is a reason why Canada has no depth of field in any discipline

A population 1/10 as big might have a little bit to do about less depth in Canada than the US.

When we look back Nathan bombing the SP might be the deciding factor if the US doesn't get a medal. If he skates even decent he finishes 2nd and the race for the Bronze is mostly over.

But then again, Eric Radford is just about to be a Gay Olympic champion, So...

Eric Radford already has a silver Olympic team medal from Sochi. Also, Boitano won individual gold in 1988. Not to mention Orser, Rob McCall, and many other figure skaters who have won Olympic medals. Rippon is very late to the party.

You guys, I have MORE TOILET DRAMA TO REPORT. I repeat: SARAHSYNCHRO HAS MORE TOILET ISSUES.

Man-friend is installing a new bathroom in the basement of his house. He just got the new walk-in shower working last night, and this morning he put in the toilet. He went downstairs about 20 minutes ago after having lunch to find that the new toilet bowl cracked, and there’s water everywhere.

This is the second time in under 48 hours I’ve had to mop up a bathroom floor; third if you want to count cleaning up after my dog left a surprise in the hallway last night during the ladies event.

Has anyone stolen a toilet from you yet?

It's odd to think about WeaPo doing the FD (or SD)... Canada wants gold and V/M are a lock for 1st unless they forget how to skate tbh.
I feel for WeaPo these days though. I never truly realized how much you can be in someone else's shadow until V/M were named flagbearer. That shadow was just too big this time :/

but what makes V/M so much better than the rest of them? maybe I'm biased but I feel like the Shibs have the same crispness to their elements and emote a heck of a lot more...

Wrong. If Carolina melts down she will still place 3rd or higher. It’s literally printed in the rule book at this point.

Mirai will need to club some knees to get a fair shot in this sport, triple Axel or not.
