2018 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event Day 3

I love Rippon, but that performance was uncomfortably slow at times, and like someone else said, almost devoid of transitions.

He's going to need a quad, and a way faster and more confident performance to have any shot at a medal.

This could be a good thing for him. I don't know about contending for a medal, but he's maybe got the Olympic nerves out of his system.

I hope and pray that he'll create a magical moment in his individual events. He's beautifully capable.

Patrick has been winning with messy skates for like 7 years now. All I can do is roll my eyes at this point

Trying to explain to my family why these guys that fall are beating Adam. He thought Adam's was interesting and well skated. Why are those messy skates rewarded?

And that is why skating drive me crazy and why fan bases are shrinking.

Yep I'm the last one of family/friends that's holding on to skating somewhat. One left because he doesn't get why a certain age group wins in the ladies. Plus his fav skater yagudin retired.

In a move of treason, I'm rooting for an Italian upset. What an Olympic that would be for them :dev3:

I’m not quite there, but I’m honestly loving the excitement. I think an upset would help the quality of the event in the future.

If you’re Canada, and play it smart.

If you’re other countries and don’t care, or want to “save” your medal contenders:confused2:

Yeah, it seems like only Canada was fully participating in this. All the other countries aren't putting in their best effort as far as I can tell. So even though none of the Canadian skaters are my favorite (since Keegan isn't competing here :( ) good on them for winning. They actually wanted it.

CAN 55 + 6 + 6 = 67

OAR 48 + 10 + 10 = 68

So... Russia wins if V/M and Daleman come 5th, if I'm calculating this right. lol

Yulia: "Yesterday, seeing Satoko's scores, it was already obvious that Japan is just visiting here"

Did she say that for real?

OMG that makes me like her even more, we need an english interview with her (TSL? Icenetwork? Please!), she knows what's up.

Even if Mirai comes in 5th? what if Carolina comes in 1st?

USA is 2 points ahead of Italy. Even if the C/L come in one place behind the Shibs, another 2-point gap will happen. So 4 points. So if Mirai gets 5th (Which most likely will happen unless she performs like how she did at 2018 nationals), and Carolina 4th, then it'll result in a tie.

I want to see a clean FS from Caro.

She has been having more than average skates all season and getting crazy scores for nothing, so now i actually want to see her clean and deserving the scores she gets.
