Kostornaia is soooooooooo good. The total package already (other than that ugly spiral not-spiral thing she does at the beginning of her program - way too much effort for no payoff, since she doesn't even hold it). Nice big jumps too!

... I didn't get that from her today. I could see her axis going back a little bit on the lutz and flip. I think she was a bit nervous. She didn't let it phase her though.

Kostornaia: Kostornaia has something that very few skaters have, and it’s something that you really only see once every few years. It’s the ability to make certain motions and turns and positions that are essentially ugly, beautiful. Her presence is phenomenal, her flow, her fluidity, her spins. She finished every motion! I’ve never seen any junior with that level of maturity. Her jumps aren’t so bad either =). Based on the rest of the field, I’d have this lead for the rest of the day but we’ll see. Get the step level up to 4, she's clearly able to do a level 4 step and does it in the long!

Edit: I suspect the lutz might've been a (!) but I couldn't tell from the angle I was looking at.
