Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Thanks all for the reports and links on CiONTU. It was a wonderful show. The producers did an excellent job with the graphics and music cuts. The choreography for the group numbers were great too. Looks like they incorporated a lot of moves from Yuzuru’s programs. I especially loved the closing number.

Seeing Yuzuru’s programs without the jumps really showcased how fantastic the choreography was for them all. I enjoyed seeing RJ1 again. It was my favorite of the two versions, and his performance of the Seimei final foot sequence was incredible!

Poor Javi getting up with the roosters on his birthday no less to perform for the show. 😃 I hope he had plans to be at the rink for a few more hours because that no doubt took a lot of prep time for only about 30 seconds of skating. Still he was a real champ, as always. He skated well and he did get a song of Happy Birthday from Yuzuru and the crowd.

BTW I love the way Yuzuru says Javi i.e. Habi. 😃 Very cute. 😊

what a wonderful 3 days of skating!!
1st of all i am so glad he got a chance to show his gratitude to his fan and to people who influenced him over the years as well as recieve love and support from them too, judging by his final words he needed it, and also glad that he talked about things that bothered him in front people who loves him

seems like he did whatever wanted with this show, he invited whoever he wanted, he skated to whatever he wanted and he talked about whatever he wanted (including Plushenko vs Yagudin!!!), and so happy we got to see Javi too!!

regarding his performances, it seeme to me like he had the best time performing his earlier programs but all of them were awesome! my favourite ones are Sing sing sing, Etude and Seimei, the charisma during Sing sing sing, also emotion and intensity during Etude and Seimei was just incredible :luv17::love::luv17:

now onto watching the whole show!! since i only watched his performances cause priorites

So much Yuzuru content the last 3 days! I love all the side by side comparisons of his programs skated toady, he has improved his skating skills so much but the emotion and passion are still there. It's wonderful to see such beautiful and technical programs even without jumps, he really is the perfect blend of technical prowess and artistry. I can't wait to see his new competitive programs this season. What a complete LEGEND!

It was so funny when Yuzuru described the difference of bows with the lady with glasses, she said to the audience "I'm sorry (for touching Yuzuru)" each time

I loved the closing number, that was where I started crying again. The commentator said Yuzuru chose the music "Time to say good bye" and Shae choreographed.

I've read some tweets by Mura's fans, they were so thankful to Yuzuru for giving him the big role and happy to see Mura's beautiful performances, I'm very happy for them :)

Continues with Wings merchandise is open for orders today! Fans won't have to worry about it being sold out either.
They will take orders, and any orders they receive by the cut-off date will be filled and manufactured. You can expect your order at least by the beginning of June! :points:

But did I see on twitter that they are not shipping overseas as of now? I'm pretty sad about that, I really want one of the shirts.

Just curious if most of the people on here are also on Planet Hanyu.

I'm thinking of dropping Goldenskate completely for that since Yuzuru has been a black hole for my productivity and I really only come here to see more stuff on him and follow a small handful of the posters. Part of me wants to keep fighting the good fight but just not interested enough when there's so many other things to catch up on. Seriously woke up, started lurking on Planet Hanyu, watched a bunch of youtube, keep failing at watching CwW, read more threads, watched more youtube, all interspersed with a bunch of daydreaming and now it's 9 hours later

I only have classes until my internship starts. I don't know how you guys can keep up with work and family and actual life.

Well, I'm still dreaming of CiONTU, but we'll have the parade on Sunday!

For someone wants to buy rubber band at the parade, be careful because it is going to be sold on April 21, not on 22.
Also it was reported that T-shirts on online sale were sold out, they sold 44,000 as a result.

And Samantha Thavasa decided to display Yuzuru's boots from April 18 to 26 in Sendai, and they'll do it in other places later on.

Hmm, I gave up a long time ago. Seriously though, I have a long commute and just read on my commute to work, usually enough to keep myself up to date.
If you're short on time, just follow the news and updates thread, since that usually provides the key links and more important updates, then just be selective about what threads you follow. I don't follow the other skaters that much on PH, and come to GS instead for more general FS news/other skaters news. If you intend to follow the general thread though....ho boy, I would suggest just try to filter a selective few posters, since they usually update the translations, major news updates, videos etc, rather than the generic talk. =) That should keep the task to within 2 hours a day.

WE DON'T.

Sounds about right

I didn´t knew about the existence of Planet Hanyu (I know :eeking:) , but it is hard to keep with many forums, and the fact that this forums is not exclusive help me get information and education in tech aspect (I suck at it) and rules.

Old Cat Lady, due to time difference it seems like fans are lurking here all of the day and night

As for work, the need to earn $$$ to pay bills is a great motivation. Other than that, and family energencies and political unrest can distract from that goal.

When there's more urgent/crucial that effects you directly, then I'm sure you will automatically readjust your priorities. Hehe

Guys I plan to go to Osaka Japan in June. I just want to clarify that for some miracle timing Yuzu's exhibit will be there?
I have no idea where the exhibit will go after Tokyo. Any light on this matter will be highly appreciated.

Anyone else thinking it's interesting how much of the graphics and merchandise are in English? I wonder if there's any plans on mass marketing Ciontu. I would love a Bluray with subtitles.

I'm a techno moron so I haven't been able to watch the show as a whole but have watched most of it through youtube videos. I thought I'd be better off waiting for translations anyway but I still find myself staring at videos of Yuzuru talking even though I only have a vague idea of what they're saying through fan translations on the forums.

I know a lot of those in western countries who think Chinese and Japanese characters are cool. Lots of countries in Asia think Alphabet lettering is cool.
