I preferred everyone's skating in this last group to Anna Scherbakova's, I must say. Her expression is so soft, but her skating still so choppy, her body position in the crossovers is not good. The program is just another on Daniil's factory line of programs - a series of difficult turns, difficult entries and exits with absolutely no soul.

There was a lot of fire in that performance! The style isn't really to my liking, but I can't help but feel happy for her after her long, arduous journey here.

Ah, she looks so disappointed with 2nd, and even though it was totally in line with most fans' expectations, it must be really tough for her, knowing that last season Gulyakova also came 2nd in her first JGP and thus didn't get a 2nd...

Really hope she gets a 2nd JGP. RusFed, don't screw this up please...

My laptop died right as she finished! I had PBP but it's gone now. Anyway for me Anna T didn't have the performance spark like Anna S and Young, and her jumps don't have the impact because they're a lot smaller but what she does do, she does well & she did great.
I think my favourite FS was from Ji Hun To today. So much passion. And I do hope they consider working a bit more on Anna S's choreo because she's such a gem. (In my happy place they'd scrap it and pick some other music, but that's not going to happen )

Like Ted said, what an outstanding first JGP! I loved watching all the skaters, they put out wonderful performances. I do wish Yi Christy's score had been a bit higher but overall I agreed with the placements and was in awe of the talented skaters.

It's Ted's mistake. Her coach is Sergey Davydov. They are from CSKA.
