Most skaters have trouble with their skating when they go through a growth spurt not so for Alina, she got better.

I’m a lurker, not a poster...but I just have to ask if I’m really the only one who hates Alina’s program? And thinks that she can’t come anywhere close to selling Carmen? What a disappointment.

Mai Mihara

Lovely landings on most of her jumps. I think she's able to capture the tone of the music, its gentleness and airiness. It's not as energetic or as involved as I'm used to seeing with her, but I think that will grow with time. She just needs a bit more facial expression and the choreography could have more interesting transitions between jumps.

Hate both programs. But, her jumps were lovely and she is lovely,

To me the problem is Carmen. It's so overdone that one never feels like it's original and special and I would have liked Alina to have a special program. But that is just my opinion.

Shame for that last 2S but it was all so easy until that! Her jumps are so secure and stable, it's a pleasure to watch her skate and be relaxed enough. This program is very nice, though it has not a great WOW factor it has a nice introverted way of emoting. Beautiful final Step Sequence!
