Kaori Sakomoto is the heavy favorite to win 2nd. Big, beautiful jumps and an infectious smile

The rest of the field is pretty weak. Loena Hendrickx is a bit of a fan favorite on here. She and Konstantinova are probably the contenders for 3rd, but Konstantinova is very inconsistent.

Kaori Sakamoto, the only other “big deal” here. She was second at Skate America and could book a ticket to the final (or at least come very close to doing so) with another silver.

How deep do you want to go? This is a relatively shallow pool. If Zagitova goes clean and receives PCS similar to what we’ve seen in Challenger events, she “can’t” be beaten. On the other hand, the technical panels have been strict for the first two GP events. If that trend holds... don’t be surprised by 5-10 point drops in TES between final pose and announcement of scores.

Okay 3Lz+3T, 3T looks <. Back entry into very fast combo spin. Nice tuck into the flying sit spin, a bit awkward on the broken sit (Level 3). Smooth 3Lo with good landing. Good 2A as well. A bit slow through the fotowork. Very fast layback spin, not sure on the leg position and slightly uncentered but still very well done.

Simple and elegant. Not that much relation to the music but fairly good speed and settled on the ice.

Replay: 3T looks < on replay for sure. 3Lo looks fine. 2A is good too.
