2018 GP Helsinki Ladies Short Program

Based on what happened at practice at SCI, yes. She’s very likely injured and it seemed extremely likely she would withdraw before the free skate last week. I am concerned for her and hope she isn’t doing anything reckless.

I agee. I know she probably won‘t medal here and I also hope she is healthy more than anything.

Wow, that's some height on Emmi's first jump!

She was flying!!!

Wow all ladies being clean so far! (No falls at least; not counting URs) If it continues like this, I‘m happy

I didn't realize something happened in practice at Skate Canada...

During the FS practice, she left the ice for 20 minutes to sit with her coach and cry. And none of her practices went well, she was visibly in pain, etc. There was an assumption a WD was coming.

Oh wow. :( I didn't see her short program, but noticed the result was bad. Her free skate was decent there.

Just that loop, otherwise Emmi Peltonen was lovely and elegant.

Wow they're really taking a hatchet to the Step Sequences. And I thought Peltonen's was very musical and interesting. But she must have this eternally shifting center of gravity what with all the leans.

Emmi Peltonen (FIN)

Slight touchdown of the other foot on the 3T+3T but very good ice coverage. Hand-down on 3Lo. Great speed of rotation through the cmael spin. Illusion entry into the layback spin, a bit uncentered (Level 2). Good 2A with nice exit. Wonderful step sequence with elongated moves and and sharp turns that accentuates the phrasing of the music (but only Level 1 it seems). Good combo spin to end the program.

Smooth and expressive skating, especially through the second half of the program. Not sure why she got a Level 1 on the step sequence, perhaps something about a retrogression?

Replay: All jumps look fully rotated.

It's always a pleasure to watch Emmi, such an elegant and graceful skater. Her program, her dress, everything suits her fluid movements. Some little mistakes pn her jumps and some lost levels (SS level 1 once again, seems the panel is quite strict today), but she is lovely :luv17:

Emmi in the lead 59.90. GO Angela!

Jason why are you not here? … sitting on the park bench in K&C :)
