Sacrilege I know, but I feel like they were a little off tonight. We've seen them do this Vincent Program better. But it is still lovely.

So I'm going to stay up through hubble/donahue to see what happens with that stationary lift- or if they've cut it.

They've had a lot of tough luck and a bit of great luck this season. One thing that's not in doubt is that they created an incredible dance which will long remain a favorite for many.

They're always pushing, always giving us something fresh and unique. It will be hard to top this but I can't wait to see what they do next season. Maybe they'll even get some love from the judges then, too? They've started to get a little more love and I hope it will continue on the upward trajectory.

Who is ready for the blood bath? The only team in the last group to earn a new season best were the Candanes and it was only in the overall score.

Normally I’d be able to clean up the bloodbath with my garden hose ... I’m just emotional but also frustrated for G/P.

I was so engrossed in the dance I barely even looked at the tech box for the first half, and didn't catch the twizzle error. Best FD program of the year, no matter what.

It originally was a level 4 for her.

The lift at the end, where she’s on his back, never fails to crack me up; it makes me think of a turtle, every time. No offense to those who love these two, and their program.

You are correct. It's not an elegant lift at all. Neither is their rotational lift

I don't understand how they are so close in scores to the Italians. Piper and Paul seem like they're at another level. Hmm....

The Italians really have improved a lot this year. I didn't really appreciate them at all on the GP circuit until I saw them live, but they really do have a lot of good qualities as well; I think they have the edge on G/P in speed and twizzles, at least.

This is the first time I see this program live, and i agree that it felt kind of off for some reason. I was expecting to connect more with it

Well, after my usual crying jag from first pose to last lift I can only confirm that for me it is a special program that really reached deep to my sensitivity, sense of art & aesthetic, not even regarding ID only, but in general. Program for ages to re-watch, carrying such subtle, impressionist pallete of emotion, shades of movements/gestures, unhurried in blossoming, a rarity where silence, tranquility plays such a big, significant part of presenting the story. Maybe not the loudest, most effective performance, but speaking volume when we allow it to do it.
