Those twizzles right on the beat just get me every time, my feelings on it fluctuate depending on the circumstances, but today it was very nice

H/D got all of their levels upgraded to 4 after the tech panel reevaluated them, so that's why their tech is so high.

Not that I watch ID as intently as other disciplines, but H/D have always rubbed me the wrong way. Mostly Hubbell. Can't place my finger on why, though
Me too, but it's mostly Zach. Seems cocky and entitled. (JMO.)

Stepanova and Bukin got all Level 4s and were generally excellent today. If this goes behind H/D, I'm going to be so pissed

Right, but you were talking about levels. No high level singles skater is intentionally going for a lower level spin/step sequence if they are able to get a higher level.
Ice dancing doesn’t have a jump equivalent.

I will put that on the podium without any doubt, but i'm not a judge 
The music was horrendous, and the choreography wasn't anything special. I don't think that they are particularly highly skilled, compared to the other top skaters.

For me, there's a difference between getting crazy high GOE on a lower level step sequence - which by itself usually indicates some errors, because few if any ice dance teams are shooting for less than level 4 on the step sequence - and a well done, simpler lift outscoring a complex but messy one.
I think there should be GOE limitations on step sequences depending on the level, but not on other elements in ice dance.

I've somehow fallen so in love with that cheesiness that I'd be willing to bring back the compulsory dance and make everyone perform to it.

Wow. So fresh, such electricity. The mix of sensuality and pathos in this program is absolutely captivating. An amazing pair. Nobody else can match them for chemistry. They set the stadium on fire.

Twizzles with an interesting, difficult entry. These actually get some real coverage. Also like the stop and head flick to end them. Nice and unexpected. First rate. Probably the strongest element in the entire program. Level 4 for both, 2.69 goe
Choreo Spinning Move - with her in a split position between his legs. Musical. Good. 3.32 goe
Choreo Char Step Seq - with a clear axis (thank you) 2.73 goe
Diag Step Seq Level - very little of which is actually done in hold. Level 4, 3.06 goe
Rotational Lift - over the back roll up entrance to one foot. Level 4, 1.44 goe
SL Lift - Level 4, 1.38 goe
Choreo Twizzles - in their patented shoot-the-duck position. These WORK because they don't NEED to have great coverage. 4.15 goe
and a real Hmpf ending (it's a good thing)

I did a lot of thinking about this since Helsinki and I know what my problem is with the program. Blues comes out of slave field chants and spirtuals. It's about sex and sin and guilt. Go back and listen to early blues and you'll hear some of the dirtiest double entendres you can imagine. "I need a little sugar in my bowl./I need a little hot dog between my rolls." And what I'm NOT getting from this program is that raw dirty earthiness that say H/D had in spades. She has definitely found her knees, which is a huge improvement. Now I want both of them to find that attitude. They have it at the end of the twizzles. I just wish this had more of it all the way through. It'a a good program, probably the best FD they've done. But to take it to the next level, they really need to dirty it up and LOOSEN it up. Sex and sin and guilt.
Now:
I still think it's derivative, and they are being gifted goe. Massive GOE. Honestly, how has that program grown at all over the season?
