My understanding was she'd try to get a dual citizenship first.
I believe this is not allowed by Japanese laws

I listened to Moskvina's interview after the championship but I guess she hadn't heard Vasiliev's comment at the time. She was pleased with the victory, talked about how you have to include difficult elements in the program, and then about the preparation to the Euros.. She said she admired Yuko for her courage, that she asked her duringt he break whether she was able to continue and Yuko said yes... Nothing about their rivals, as far as I remember.
Vasiliev is a former pupil of Moskvina. She always says nice things about him. Or says nothing.
Thanks again, you always have the information we need. I wonder what her comment will be now that she has heard it. It will be quite interesting.
I also think Moskvina won't say anything and Vassiliev should learn this attitude from her - don't say anything if you have no nice things to say.I heard a rumor that Trankov had always some kind of bad relationship with Smirnov from old days.
I heard a rumor that Trankov had always some kind of bad relationship with Smirnov from old days. I think it is better for him to keep his mouth shut no matter what he thinks. He does sound as sour loser. I also liked how much caring relationship Smirnov and Kawaguchi have, great team!!!
I've found an interesting interview with Vasiliev. It's an old one. He says there Moskvina tried to 'steal' Totmianina/ Marinin from him, acting behind his back.
But why? Why do they have such a bad relationship?
Vasiliev always acts as if everybody is against him and his team. To him, there's always some sort of conspiracy in the working. The bitter rivalry between TT&MM and three Chinese teams was another example.
He always believes he's the only one who has the 'secret' sauce to make champions. It's kind of amusing to watch the unfolding drama between his team and Moskvina's.
I love your line about the secret sauce, cracked me up for a bit, maybe he is just not so sure about his own pair and that is why he tries to have this complex of everyone is out to get him. lol
I am now watching the other lower-ranking Russian teams' pefformances, and find them very refreshing and creative. Ushakova/Karev are awesome, so are the fourth place finishers(don't even remember their names).
:Thanks Ximena for the articles, I'm very disappointed in Oleg's statement.:
I wonder how many top teams will copy the Pavlova lifts next season? Both Ushakova and Ilushechkina created very interesting and unusual lifts.
Lifts are not easy to copy. Male and female skaters with similar size will not be able to master complex and innovative positiions.
