That is so great to read. After the Kolyada, Gleihkengauz and Kogan incidents I was fearing the worst. So happy for all the skaters. They derserve it.

They won't tell us any time soon which man is competing in the team event, will they?

Meanwhile, I was browsing the SkatingScores website (which honestly is a great resource I keep forgetting about and then remembering again) and came across the Denis Ten Memorial. The website conveniently also lists all the judges and technical panel so I checked the Junior competition and it turns out that it fulfils the criteria for it to count towards JWC TES minimums after all (it had referee, tech controller and tech specialist from 3 different countries, as well as 6 judges from 6 different countries). There were also skaters from 4 different countries in Junior men. In short, I couldn't find a reason why it wouldn't count for JWC minimums. No idea why ISU doesn't list it on their official record though.
But I guess for the continued intrigue about selection to JWC we should assume that Dikidzhi, Ugozhaev, Zonov, and Popov (and indeed Soloviov, who should be qualified for junior RCF in principle) all have tech minimums.

Given Popov's RusNats unfortunate outing, I'm thinking unlikely, but hoping for JGP spots anyway. But, in Russia, things change fast.

Nah, team comp is even more of a state secret than the list of the participants for each Russian Cup stage... same principle applies, I guess. If you see them skating on the 4th, they must be in.

It is obvious that Kondratiuk will be doing both segments. Sokolovskaya says she doesn't see a problem with Mark skating 4 competition programs in one week. I hope he has a good short program in the team event to get him motivated for the rest of the week.

Ahh, but deep in my heart I am still hoping it will be Semenenko until I see it written otherwise. A girl can dream.

I'm still confident they'll be smart enough to go for a single quad and make the combination to the first half in the SP for the team event. If Kondratiuk's nerves betray him and he repeats the disaster of the Rostelecom Cup 2021, it will be devastating for him all the hate he will receive.

I really hope so, too. If he fails to do his backloaded combination in the SP a lot of skaters will beat him. I don´t want a repeat of the Kolyada story from 2018.
