OMG this is Daft Punk! I don't hate the program, it was actually rather fun. I do think the arm movements are a little too "I'm an alien wriggle wriggle gloop" though.

Well in their defense, S/B aren't in Beijing yet and the alternate was D/S who could have put Russia in a precarious position. So if they can't make it for the individual event I don't think it's the same situation

I really makes no sense to me why S/B weren't kept on alert just in case Nikita's back didn't hold and even less that they still aren't even in Beijing yet in general. I'm guessing it's just more behind the scenes Russian politics just cause

Well, it’ll be close for first but they certainly did everything they could do. This free dance has grown on me SO much over the season, I really loved that!

That is the first time I've seen C/B's Free, and it's hard to believe this is the same team that started out with Les Miz and Dr Z. LOVED it.

I of course do not love this C/B program as much as their last program. I hate that long stretches of the program have no melody. However, there are so many innovative things about it. Choreographically the transitions, the lifts, and the moments are spectacular. They're not as fast or powerful as S/K but the program is much more intricate and interesting.

Well done, Madison and Evan! I am still not sure what to make of this program, but at least it's not boring! Her dress is stunning, but he looks like he's in generic winter running gear.

The fact they aren't in Beijing yet makes me believe 1 of them has not been able to produce the required number of negative tests. Who is the first alternate for the ice dancers for Russia?
