His 4A was certified, not ratified.Really? Can you point me? I am a bit out of the loop it seems.
Anyhow, I think Yuzuru will not return to Canada, and if he keeps competing, he'll want to stay in his beloved Japan. I wonder how long he'll continue on his own, but experienced though he is, I would like for him to find a coach, even if just for emotional support by the boards (similar to Kazuki and his coach).
I read yesterday that his 4A was not ratified in the end, which means more incentive for him to go to WC this year, I guess?
To be ratified a jump must be fully rotated or q (well, we know it was q but it was called <) and receive a positive GOE, which of course excludes a fall.
To be certified a jump can be < but not << and GOEs don't matter.
So Yuzuru Hanyu is officially the first skater to land a 4A but the jump is not ratified (yet).
Regarding his coaches, I hope the link works, I put it under spoiler because it's ugly, I didn't keep the tweet with Tracy Wilson's reaction.
It looks like this Tweet was deleted but many people kept screen saves from all this.
