Pretty dress for Aleksa, but a terribly depressive cover of Sign of the Times, and a skate to go with that mood.

1Lz (pop), 2A, 3T (Off-axis, inside edge landing, step), 3Lo, 3T Fall (inside edge landing), 3S+2T, 3S (inside edge landing, step)

This looks nothing like the confident and sure-footed skater we've seen last season. I don't think she's grown that much, but something is off. Timing and strength just don't seem to be there, and neither is the fight to still make it work. At the end of last season, I was sure she'd make it to the JGP this season, and now reality couldn't be further from that.

Abbie is skating to good music at least some goodies, some baddies in the jump dept...

Bryce again... he has good students.. I like both Breken and Abbie.

Baby blue + gold is such a great combination. Some of these jump landings were like nothing I've ever seen, she just completely lost her sense of where her legs were supposed to be. Kudos for fighting to stay on her feet though, that takes a lot of willpower.

Facial expressions do not lie in Abbie's case.. She is not pleased.

oh la la.. mariiiiia is having a bad outing... too bad. it seems like this competition is very stressful on these young women. I mean, i was thinking, well, it's early.. but then it's not because JGP is just in one month...

Poor Angelina, she even fell on the CHOR SEQ... but kudos to her : she kept smiling throughout the performance.

Ooh, I also like this dress. Fairly simple, but it looks good on Angelina. She's so speedy Unfortunately, gravity was working against her today, which is such a shame because her basic jumping technique is actually very good, and her jumps get so much height, she just didn't find her center today.

Yeez, this is turning out to be a very difficult day for most of these skaters so far. Am I supposed to start praying for cleansed ice right now?
Some hard falls for Lucille here, and all that after a good start I like her air position, very straight and strong in the air, she just lacked the strength to make the rotation happen on these jumps today.

This is a pretty cool dress too, I like the different visual shapes ad the contrasting flowing panels and sleeves. Not a perfect skate, but much better than the skates we've seen before. The program is nice, subtle and understated like most of Angelina Guan's programs have been in the past. Her landing posture is a bit concerning to me, she's working with her back quite heavily, so that's something to keep an eye on.

First happy skater? She looked very surprised but pleased at hearing that score

Reese has so much raw power, she just needs control and ankle strength (for my sanity, those Loop falls were a bit scary to look at). She is pushing for more technical difficulty, but she's not quite able to pull it off yet, maybe at the end of the season.

Another cute hair ribbon and pretty blue-purply dress. Megan has a lot of power in her jumps, and honestly, the Loop fall just looked like she sat down because she lost the feeling for where she was in the air. Not a bad skate at all, despite the two falls. Well done.

meagan and fée-ann have big powerful jumps. I like ! of course, some more control needed but it's exciting

Fée-Ann's jumps are huge when she hits them, but she does have a little issue with her leg wrap. And pops, that too.
She definitely knows how to serve face though when she's not super focused on her jumps, this sassier program works quite well for her.

BTW... side note... I wonder why some provinces keep their flags with the union jack on them... anyone here likes those? I cannot judge being from a place where the monarchy is not popular at all... nor the British Empire
