Mély-Ann is a skater that could really become a huge facture in Canadian skating in the future. With the right coaching and priorities, she'll look like a completely different skater in two years. She's decently flexible, has nice extension and most of all a fighting spirit like few others. Her landings need a lot of work, and she has a bit of a wandering axis, but all of the basic ingredients are there, she just has to put it alltogether

in any case... just posting to say that Mély-Ann skated novice last year. So big step. Her lutz definitely is an asset for her considering it's the required SP jump this year in juniors.

Technically as clean as a whistle, let's see what they do with Uliana's PCS. Like I said yesterday, she's very inward-downward focused, so that should be the next step she's going to have to work on. With the way this competition is going, she might end up being the only one to go clean (no falls, step-outs, pops). I'm guessing this has just secured her at least one JGP spot.

Uliana did very well... solid jumps... backloaded all combos (will get bonus for the ones with + 3) a bit stiff on the last combo but can anyone blame her?? damn.. 3f-3t at the end.

Now, the lesser things : she needs a lot of PCS work. We can see the contrast with some of the other skaters who may not be able to jump like her but have flow, speed, edge quality and presence. I think this performance though should secure her a spot on JGP.

Lulu's dress is just gorgeous (the sleeves and the "necklace" detail?? ) and I'm still loving the ponytail. Especially the beginning jumps looked extremely light and effortless, and she really got into the program during the choreo sequence. I think she too has made a very strong statement for why she deserves a JGP spot.

Hetty has such a delicateness to her, so much tenderness and elegance in her movements. Her arms and hands are so balletic, and this is a beautiful program for her.
Shame about the falls (she was too far forward on the Flip and the Salchow was just a very weird fall tbh), but hopefully she'll still get a JGP spot.

well done Rose.. She fought for some of these jumps.. I like the Enya program. The dress is nice... i would have imagined another colour for Enya... i don't know

This is another dress where I'm not quite sure if I like it or if it's just a tad too close to the skater's actual skin tone Good skate for Rose, she's definitely improved quite a bit from last season. I'd personally like to see more speed and flow out of the jumps, like this they shouldn't be able to get high GOE.

well the judges did a good job. and i like that they don't sugar coat anything in the GOE/PCS dept

Behnke Sauve = I see potential when he gets a bit bigger. Jumps are not a problem. Throws either. For the rest, he just needs more spinach

Oh look, it's the same music as Avan and Yonathan use in their Short, that's kind of cute. Yep, these two have potential, they just have to stick it out for maybe a year or so, until he grows a bit taller, so that the partnered elements will become a bit easier. They kind of give me similar vibes as Laurin/Ethier, maybe it's the long limbs? The costumes are cute, except that the mesh on Annika's dress is a bit too light for her (unless it's supposed to be like that).

i like how in synch they are in the KnC nodding and turning their heads at the same time. There is something about them that I like a lot. Let's see how they grow up.
