MADDIE IS BACK! This program music is definitely a unique choice, but it works surprisingly well for Maddie.

I'm watching skating with my 21-month-old daughter, and she's starting to get the hang of things. She started applauding at the end and after one of the jumps. I asked her if she wanted to become a figure skater someday, and she grinned and went "yeah!"

usually I am not fond of this music for figure skating or of light blue dresses, but in this case I love the dress and she's able to interprete the charming side very well

Wow, wow, awe inspiring TRULY! I loved that.

I dont know where to start, as a skater she has it. Absolutely. Lines, technique, glide... zero lack here.

As an athlete, too, how happy am I to see such strong ankles on an international girl!

But more than anything as an artist she very much left an impression. She really understands the cadence of the music, and not just that but she knows how to maintain it - much more difficult than non-artists might think! Also, she went through the change of essence in that music too, from jazzy to more classically romantic, very smoothly to where I didnt even notice! So impressive!!

I saw in the other thread someone said the Canadian girls aren't good - nonsense! This girl is a very high level skater!!!

I never like this song, but it works well for Maddie.

She does seem to be able to convey that first half of the 20th century feel, doesn’t she? I will be game to see her do the roaring twenties or classic jazz era programs.
