Ira's bodysuit looks great Shame about the twizzles, that will probably drop them into third for now.
Makes sense then that everyone is choosing to watch the Japanese men instead.Right now it's the gap in the opposite direction. A lot of reshuffles after Olympics and leaders retirement resulted in a visible drop in quality. Young dancers are good, just need more time to develop as new pairs.
Stepanova/Bukin would be one of the top couples internationally.By the way, how does Russian ice dance compare internationally? Is there a gap like with ladies and pairs?
They're not losing that much, by the way. I think bronze is still very likely.Ira's bodysuit looks great Shame about the twizzles, that will probably drop them into third for now.
Ice Dance is the least popular discipline anyway.Makes sense then that everyone is choosing to watch the Japanese men instead.
Our threads should be more alive for ladies/pairs which will be much more fun.
Scores are very tight among the current top 3 indeed. We'll see how the FD turns out, without a mistake, Kh/N should be able to climb above the other two teams, but none of these teams are extremely stable eitherThey're not losing that much, by the way. I think bronze is still very likely.
Do people usually join for the Russian ladies/pairs over the Japanese league?Ice Dance is the least popular discipline anyway.
Plus, the ban.
Last season there were less posters.
The chances of competing for a gold at GPF and WC are almost non-existent. But I think they would fight for bronze at these events, as well as EC gold. But at the same time, men have a very high average level. Also, how do men compare internationally? I heard Malinin is unbeatable.
Malinin isn't unbeatable. Technically yes, but in the total score no. Either way, I think some of the more well-rounded top guys like Petr could make the top 5 at Worlds if they skate well, but others would struggle to do so due to comparatively low PCS, like Vlad Dikidzhi.Do people usually join for the Russian ladies/pairs over the Japanese league?

No, it's just ThursdayPretty empty arena for nationals. I guess Russians really dont care much for ice dance.
Thats true, but I would still expect a full arena for pairs/men later on at a national final. No, it's just Thursday
