Ira's bodysuit looks great 😍 Shame about the twizzles, that will probably drop them into third for now.

Right now it's the gap in the opposite direction. A lot of reshuffles after Olympics and leaders retirement resulted in a visible drop in quality. Young dancers are good, just need more time to develop as new pairs.
Makes sense then that everyone is choosing to watch the Japanese men instead.

Our threads should be more alive for ladies/pairs which will be much more fun.

By the way, how does Russian ice dance compare internationally? Is there a gap like with ladies and pairs?
Stepanova/Bukin would be one of the top couples internationally.

Everyone else is still developing. The more experienced skaters have left.

But the juniors are very strong and would be leaders at international competitions most likely.

Very good RD for M/U!

For the first time this season no big mistakes

They have a good chance of staying in the national team

They're not losing that much, by the way. I think bronze is still very likely.
Scores are very tight among the current top 3 indeed. We'll see how the FD turns out, without a mistake, Kh/N should be able to climb above the other two teams, but none of these teams are extremely stable either 🤔

Ice Dance is the least popular discipline anyway.

Plus, the ban.

Last season there were less posters.
Do people usually join for the Russian ladies/pairs over the Japanese league?

Also, how do our men compare internationally? I heard Malinin is unbeatable.

The chances of competing for a gold at GPF and WC are almost non-existent. But I think they would fight for bronze at these events, as well as EC gold. But at the same time, men have a very high average level.

The juniors are very strong, especially Lazarev and Fedotov.

Malinin isn't unbeatable. Technically yes, but in the total score no. Either way, I think some of the more well-rounded top guys like Petr could make the top 5 at Worlds if they skate well, but others would struggle to do so due to comparatively low PCS, like Vlad Dikidzhi.

Finally able to join you.

That is a VERY yellow dress. "La La Land" levels of yellow. Except it wasn't "La La Land".

This group is much weaker.

Tyutyunina/Grachev, Zhdanova/Babaev-Smirnov and Prokopets/Vaskovich may fight for the last place in the national team (although I hope it stays with Mironova/Ustenko).
