2025-26 Russian Nationals Women's Short Program

She doesn't need PCS of 26 to stay below 80. Let's face it, she's not likely to get higher than 33-34 in PCS in the Short, and her GOEs are likely to be a little lower too, based on the GOEs she received in Beijing and what others are receiving. If Amber and Ami's best 3As get mean GOE marks of a little over +2, then Adeliia's isn't going to get +3 like she did here.

She definitely still has a very good chance of scoring in the high 70s, and sure, maybe even in the 80s with a generous panel (as so often at the Olympics), but not 86. High 70s would most likely still be enough to be at least in the top 3 after the SP, definitely in the top 6.
I do not understand what about that program or Adelia in general screams High seventies or eighties? Certainly not the skating skills. Certainly not the ease or quality of the jumps. She is certainly very striking on the ice, but I just don't see what others are seeing, I guess...

Oh, I am not talking about how I want to score anyone, I am talking about how I am expecting her to be scored by an international panel.

I've made the discovery that my personal opinion (and expectation) of scoring rarely fully matches the reality, even when the order of placements is the same. Just look at how judges score the PCS of skaters like Rino Matsuike - Certainly not how I would score them.

I can't compare it to previous iterations as I don't follow her that much, but I don't find it a pretty jump at all. Long entry on a very tight Circle that I suppose helps her spin the heck out of it. But it's tiny, relatively speaking, and like most of her jumps, very muscled...
Adelia doesn't have a long entry. Amber Glenn has a12 second entry where she does a semi circle of the rink. Carries no speed on the landing. Also, the q wasn't called. Almost every woman in the world with a 3A has an issue with it.
