Yeah, I'm not expecting her to go through to the finals today, but I also think she achieved what she came here for already. Those two 3As were gorgeous and made clear why she's one of the best in Russia.

With a 3A like that she isnt far off best in the world. Petrosian's 4T is extremely stable but without her 3A in SP its actually close.

The only excuse for dresses is for programs etc, here it's a jumping tournament. The only reason they put these girls in dresses...are not for any good reason. I mean, why not make junior men came out in speedos.

I've just been thinking that the dates aren't quite right. This event clashes with the novice nationals qualification. So, for example, Labutina and Tsipukhina couldn't take part.

Well, normal dresses are fine. I think the point is just that dresses look nice for show and the girls definitely like them so why not? Dont really need an excuse. But its just the aesthetic they give the younger girls, not just dresses but also the makeup etc... its always weird, program or not. Theres never any excuse for that but its a separate issue.
