2023-2024 Russian Nationals Jumping Championships

JNats and Spartakiad are about to be historically unparalleled events, I actually think so.
I think Petrosian in this form could jump the 4T+3T and why not? And Junior Nationals will be a bloodbath of quads and quad combos. I expect Margarita to be standing at the end but Kostyleva has impressive content and showed real toughness after that splat that visibly hurt her to land that quad combo. It's very impressive. A football player would be still rolling on the ground in agony.

He has some kind of leg wrap, it looks weird. I remember Medvedeva once mistoke his jumps for pops.
I remember that, he used to have it in 3A. I didn’t see it in 4T, but I will rewatch. Semenenko's jumps still look so fugly though.

Let her change country and go against Shimada. I would absolutely love to see that. Or whoever is going to be the quad queen next season, heh.

She's not allowed to compete against juniors from other countries. Apparently Margarita is a threat to the rules based order. I'm not complaining though. I just watched the best jumping performance in history.

Semenenko was getting 4s in GoE for his jumps
He usually doesn't get above +3 for his 4S and 4T (as he should). For the qualification + individual tournament he got +4s only for the 4Lo, but there's really better technique there I think.

Oh, poor Khabibulina/Knyazhuk didn't have a fighting chance...I think they have a bit of a low season. Hope they will come strong next season.

Kostyleva competes in the novice category. She will not be at the Junior Nats, only the Zhuk Memorial

Well, if she is forbidden to transfer, despite never reperesnting Russia ever, we'll never know. It would have been a great show/rivalry. Funny how it was Akatyeva only last year, the best junior, could have beat everyone, blah-blah-blah...lol.

As much as I like Liza her being the guest when the second guest is Aliev makes no sense unless she has resorted her 3A. One team is going to be very much disadvantaged here as Aliev has quads in his arsenal even if he isnt the most stable one out there.

Now that's the individual's are done, can someone who understands technical requirements to jumps can give me a solid technical reason why Semenenko was getting 4s in GoE for his jumps, and Popov was getting 2s? At a glance Popov has height, length, air body position and exits that looks far more esthetically pleasing. The only thing I picked up from TAT is that she said Popov uses medium pace on entry. Is Semeneko that much faster? Or? @Flying Feijoa if you watched it?
Its not up on 1tv yet

We know actually. It isn't because someone is not allowed that it is not obvious that she/he's better.

Russian nats gold medal.

It's the most competitive division in world skating. What do you want someone to tap Margarita and Adelia on the shoulder and say don't give 100% because Akatieva is the new best skater and we would like to keep it that way?

Do you think it's some kind of conspiracy against the last year's best skaters to upstage them the following year?

What are you annoyed by, that Russia has too many world class skaters?

Nooope. It only counts in the same competition with the same judging panel on the same ice. Everything else is speculation. It's the same as go on warm up results. There is plenty of surprise resolutions of the match-ups in actual competitions with 2 full programs. That's the value of the GP series.
