2024 World Junior Championships Rhythm Dance

I would think you would have a harder time with Jean. Hans in French is not that far away from Hans in German.

Just watched the two videos you linked to (still find it funny how they manage to stretch out what should be a 5 second video to over a minute), and I was amazed. I would never have thought "Hans" was pronounced like that in French. I would have thought it would be more like "(H)ons" (sorry, I'm useless at writing pronounciations. It would help if I could understand the phonetic alphabet, but I can't make head nor tail of it).

I know Jean... but the combination of Jean-Hans... twists my tongue...

I found it a tongue-twister pronouncing it the way I thought it was pronounced. But, now that I have heard the proper French pronounciation, it is not a tongue-twister at all.

it twists my mind because it's the same name... lol

Right enough, I never thought of it like that!

Considering neither team has gotten even a single RF4 at a JGP/YOG this season, I would not agree that much. They were also not the only teams to get a RF4, there was even a team in the very first warm-up group (the Spanish team).
I understand what you are saying but with a chloe and brendan, i expected them to peak later in the year... new team. In general, wing and lowe teams though usually get good levels on keypoints.
I didn't watch the first warm up group...

But see, IAM team only 5 keypoints...

Wait, I always thought Mr. Roboto was an iconic piece of 80's music! I was born at the tail end of the 80's, was it really that uncommon to hear in North America?

Poor Ted.

I think it's pronounced KOOLESHA
but i would need my son to confirm this... i just heard that name pronounced that way before...

No, I heard it all the time. Don't think Ted is correct about this.

B/G I guess, but the baby Koreans just competed at the YOG...

Considering that they only got two key points across their two JGP appearances... 🙈 No offense to them, but while they are a very entertaining team, technically they are not as strong as they could be.

Score sheets are score sheets ;) I am not dance expert but I think Chloe and Brendan did very well :) much better than earlier this season.

I don't know about North America (or anywhere else, really. I was like you in that I wasn't born until later in the 80's, so I was too young to know). But I had never heard tell of it until I saw their programme earlier in the season.

And looking up Wikipedia, I see why. The highest it got in the UK charts was #90. So, it wasn't a hit here.
