When they mentioned triple axels … I thought we would be in for a disaster.
David Bodnar’s 3A is amazing. He only got 8.00. There is something about David, that the judges refrain from giving him high GOE’s. I felt that in the competition. He is the most technically proficient of the boys. I could see him learning a quad.
Edward’s 3A was also not that bad. He got the highest score at 8.80
I think my three boys were in the same team
Anthony’s step sequence and spins stood out
The boys were also quite solid with their triple triples. Better than in competition
The girls were the worst… Kara falling on her 3Lz… Aleksa on her 3T 3T
Stavrina and Natasha couldn’t even do spins properly…
The highlights were Lia of course with her 3Lz 3T 2A combo. 14 points. Lulu also landed a nice 3T 3T combo…but, only scored 6-7 points like at Worlds. Must be under rotated. Reese redeemed herself a bit more… volunteering to go for 3F… single jump requirement this season, landing the 3F and standing out with her step sequence. She is also the most social in this group. I like her energy! Ksenia also had a nice 3F… higher score than Reese.
Also, at the end, the speaker went and told them that this NextGen competition locked in a lot of spots to JGP. But, that there are spots open and he will be monitoring them closely. So, that is nice to know. If you see some surprise picks, it is because they are doing well in practice in the upcoming month or two.
