2024 NHK Trophy is the fourth event of the 2024-25 ISU Grand Prix series and is scheduled to take place November 8-10, 2024, in Tokyo, Japan. The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series consists of six international senior invitational events and culminates with the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in December.

Competitors collect points in their individual Grand Prix events towards the qualification for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Only the top six skaters/teams in each discipline can qualify for the Final.

Skaters are seeded and invited to the six Grand Prix of Figure Skating events based on the results obtained at the 2024 ISU World Figure Skating Championships. Skaters/teams who have placed first through sixth in each of the four categories are seeded and assigned to two events. Skaters/teams who have placed seventh through 12th at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships are selected for two ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating events. Skaters with a top 24 Season Best Scores (from the 2023-24 season), as well as those placed in the top 24 of the ISU World Standings, can also be invited.

In order for a skater/team to be eligible to compete at an ISU Grand Prix event, a minimum total score must have been achieved in the 2023-24 or current 2024-25 season in an ISU event (Grand Prix, Junior Grand Prix, Championships) or a Challenger Series event. Exceptions apply to host country skaters, previously ranked skaters or split ranked couples who return with new partners.

Anyone knows what day is the ladies events. I might go in person but only interested in watching the ladies.
Sales of tickets start July 12, let's see if I can get arena SS ticket, if not sold out 1 second after sales start.

Since the competition itself is only Friday-Saturday (Sunday is only for the gala), all disciplines will have their SP/RD on Friday and their FS/FD on Saturday. So if you only want to watch the women's SP, you could just go on Friday, or you could just go on Saturday if you only want to see the women's FS. But if you want to see both parts of the women's event, you'll need tickets for both Friday and Saturday.

Thank you! Saturday it is, then, if I can be fast enough to get a arena SS ticket when they go on sale.

The ticket sales information for overseas attendants for the NHK Trophy has been released.
Ooh, this is the same Tixplus service that was used for the world championships in 2023! If this utilizes the same type of ticket lottery system that was used back then, I'd be happy to share what I recall about the ticket-buying process. 🙂

Hello! I am going to be in Tokyo with my mother at the same time as the 2024 NHK Trophy. This is very exciting since we've always wanted to watch a figure skating event in Japan. Can someone please tell me how the seating works? I found this link on the thread, but there isn't a seating map anywhere so I have no idea what the difference is between a Stand S seat, Arena S seat, Arena SS seat and so on. Thanks! https://tixplus.jp/feature/nhk24_en/

This is the map I found on the NHK Trophy Website. The red block is the Arena SS, the yellow the Arena S, the orange Stand SS, the blue Stand S, and the green Stand A. The little white rectangle is the judges' table and the k&c is off to the right side.

Thanks! The process is very confusing. It says I'm supposed to register for a Plus member ID but I don't see a link to do that. Does anyone know where to find it?

Hello! Looking for your help since you have used the system before. It says I'm supposed to register for a Plus member ID but I don't see a link to do that on this massive page of text. Do you know where to find that?

Hello! I'm sorry that I didn't contact you earlier! It appears that you have to allow cookies on the pop-up screen that appears on the wall of text (the pop-up may be at the bottom of the text). Once you accept the cookies, then you will immediately be sent to the English-language registration screen. Try it again and let me know what happens: Link

Thanks again for being so helpful. I am on this page: https://tixplus.jp/static/?privacy but all it talks about is the privacy policy. Unless I missed something, it doesn't say anything about registering or getting a Plus member ID on that webpage. This is the only section that has any kind of an application form, but it doesn't seem right.
Application
  1. Requesting disclosure of personal information and/or notification of its purpose of use (fees apply)
Personal information Request for Disclosure form (PDF)
  2. Requesting a revision or addition to, deletion of, suspension of use, or suspension of provision to third parties of personal information (free of charge)
Request form for revision to or cessation of use of personal information (PDF)

I also tried contacting Tixplus through their online form, but also doesn't work. Is it even possible for someone from another country, like Canada to get tickets to the event?

The link I sent at the end of my previous message was to the English version of that webpage...maybe a different browser would allow you to see the pop-up?

Anyway, since you seem to have gotten to the Japanese version of the webpage, I have another idea about how to register. Click on the icon with a triangle and a rectangle that says "ログイン" near the top of the page, then click on "会員登録はこちらから" at the bottom of the next page. After that, enter your email address in the box on the next page and click "登録する" on the bottom of that same page. A registration email should be sent after that, but please let me know if there are any additional steps. I hope this helps!

Edit: Did you try using this page to access the registration links? If either of them take you to an English page with a lot of text, accept the cookies!

Yes, that is the link I use: https://tixplus.jp/feature/nhk24_en/ Then I click on "Regist Plus member ID" which takes me to their privacy policy page and that's as far as I get because it doesn't say anything further about registering a Plus member ID on that webpage. I don't have a Plus member ID and I'm not sure how to get one since I live in Canada. :(

I know for a fact that the registration system works because I was successfully able to register in 2022 (I live in the US). There is a "Login" button on the top of the English privacy policy page. After clicking on that, there should be an option to create an account or register. (If it tells you to accept cookies while clicking on the button, hit accept.)

Yes, it finally worked (with a different browser) - or at least I think it worked. It says "you have won a drawing for tickets" and

1st Choice Won [Payment already done] so does that mean I actually have tickets now? I don't see any tickets in my email - it just says "ticket purchase for ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2024 / 25, NHK Trophy is complete." I definitely appreciate everyone's help with this complicated process.

This sounds similar to the message I got when I won my tickets to Saitama in the ticket lottery, so I would say that you are likely guaranteed the tickets. However, the tickets you will receive are electronic tickets, so you will need the Tixplus app in order to receive them. It also took a long time for my electronic ticket to actually appear on the app; I received my digital ticket only a few weeks before the event started. If you log into the Tixplus website with your Member ID, you will still be able to see the fact that you "won" the tickets (although there wasn't a ticket lottery in your case). Have you downloaded the app yet?
