They get to cheer 2 home skaters right in the first group!

OMG there are even gloves and armography for the audience!! Loving this audience already

Definitely a school outing.

What a great way to treat the kids! And to get them interested in the sport.

And as a bonus, it ensures that the skaters have a decent sized, and very enthusiastic, audience.

Well done to the organisers, and the school in question, for doing this!

I hope she can get more face-to-face coaching in the future, I think she has lots of natural talents.
If she sets up crowdfunding I'd be more than happy to contribute

Oh, Mark. I've heard the name Nguyễn mangled so many ways over the years, but I think this is the first time I've heard that particular version.

What a story about being coached online.

But I'm surprised that they didn't mention who the coach was - it's Haruka Imai! (I liked her when she was skating! )

Hang on, Mark did come around to it eventually.

For the record, having structural things in the middle of a small rink is not unique. The rink in Nicosia has a great big concrete column in the middle of it! Needless to say, it does not get used by the figure skaters in Cyprus, who use a similarly small rink in Limassol instead.
