2024 JGP Bangkok Women's SP

You know, I wonder how much the fact that the rules make it so much harder for junior skaters to recover from a popped jump makes sense. . .
I feel like having a mandatory jump is good but why does it have to be a solo jump, like why can’t it be just a mandatory F/Lz/Lo jump that can be done either as a solo or in a combo.

Why make it so costly for juniors to make a mistakes when they are still learning.

Jia's skating and SP dress is absolutely exquisite!

The popped Lutz could've just been a fluke however, it's not unusual for skaters who switch to TCC to temporarily experience jump inconsistency since their team focuses so heavily on skating skills, often starting skaters from scratch

Either way, wishing Jia a gorgeous redemption FS which we all know she's fully capable of 💗

Meanwhile... it's been a while since Jia made a mistake this big, I mean she is human but I wonder what made her that nervous in the first place... and while I trust the girl if this pop costs her JGPF I will cry

It could be actually the opposite of being nervous. She has been at the top for so many years in Junior, maybe she just needs time to really feel the need to fight for the top spot. And she has to adjust to some new technique.

Really enjoyed that performance from the school kids during the resurfacing. I just wish Ted and Mark had shut up when they started.

I also wish that the coverage would have stuck with the performance to the end, rather than cutting to pre-recorded videos. Even though it meant I didn't have time to do everything I wanted to during the resurfacing. (Which just proves the point I was making yesterday about the half-time show at the Superbowl).

From what I've seen of her she is not the type to go lax, she is competitive not only with others but herself as well. It could be the new TCC technique as @tsuyoboogie has mentioned

Well, the timing was totally screwed up... they're well and truly on, I've missed a fair bit? Who should I go back and watch?

i see we don't regret nothing

She doesn't regret anything, anyway!

(Be careful of your double negatives, my dear!)
