2024 JGP Ankara Women's SP

Awww!!! Alice SMITH (GBR) is practically a baby!!!

Not at all surprised to find out she is the youngest skater in the competition.

(I did a double take when I saw her name, because I know somebody with the exact same name! But, her sport is football, not figure skating. And she is about double the age of this Alice).

She was so cute in her blue dress!

She goes into 15th position

@CaroLiza_fan I thought Alice had represented Cambridge at nationals last year? Coach was listed as John Wicker here, and I think he's Romford?

Mmmm. I just looked up John Wicker, and his Facebook profile says he is coaching in Romford.

But, right enough, looking at her domestic competitions, Alice changed from being listed as Cambridge to being listed as Romford at the start of 2024.

That's a couple of mid-season changes we have come across in the past few days. Surely that is disruptive to your season. Mind you, leaving it to the end of the season doesn't give you time to prepare for the new season.

I suppose it all comes down to working out which works best for you.

And I misread your post as My Little Pony Never Killed Nobody, now I am wondering if anybody has ever done a MLP program

Probably a sensible change for Alice, with her longer-term future in mind. John Wicker has coached skaters (e.g. Ed Appleby, Kristen Spours) to a much higher level than Cambridge have.

They have! Mostly wee kids, not even Juniors or Novices... But here's one who's costume game is on point.
