I guess you have never heard the names Yuna Kim, Yuzuru Hanyu or Javier Fernandez.Does it ever work going to Orser?
The 57 for PCS was a little insulting she's a cut above. My favorite remains Rena who was a cut above the other skaters performance wise in person last year at Junior Worlds. But, clearly she's having some issues this year.
Interesting competition. Who will be make JGPF now? Clearly Mao and Wada ... Probably Stefania, too? Maybe no one from today's competition, right?
Alexei Letov, Olga GanichevaWho coaches them? Same coach or different ones?
I don't want to be the one making the decision, honestly. The stiff competition in China means it is unlikely that Von Felton repeats gold, and Kalin never came close to the podium in JGP iirc. So...it's a tough choice. I think a lot might depend on already having a visa for Von Felton.I hope so too. But I really like Mia, she has a solid 4T.
That is what is annoying me. Rena was so lovelyThe 57 for PCS was a little insulting she's a cut above.
Oh, Letov. The purveyor of big and wild jumps...Alexei Letov, Olga Ganicheva
She came from Switzerland. Competed on JGP for them in 2022/23 season. Competed domestically in US last season and now has release from Switzerland. Thanks for this.
I wondered where did this girl with the noble name suddenly emerged from.
Does she have blue blood? Or some connections?
No, she only knows to jump. Great revelation.
Not unless you are a champion male skaterDoes it ever work going to Orser?
Yeah, those jumps would've been clean if not for the boards.Jia Shin jumped so close to the boards.
Honestly, seeing her in person, I would have given her higher PCS than Mao or Jia at Junior Worlds last year especially in the LP. ( athough her posture is noticeably bad) She's so committed and her SS are equally good. That is what is annoying me. Rena was so much better on PCS.
They probably didn't organise anything in advance, I cannot see China expediting it, especially with everything going on in the world (not saying China or USA is on the wrong side. She would have to head home and almost fly straight to China, so not happening. But she's a definite silver chance at world's, gold if Shimada has a fall or two which she often does on the 4T.I don't want to be the one making the decision, honestly. And look how well it turned out to all these competitors who were rewarded with high PCSs internally in Canada! Shi in 15th I take it? I am ever so overjoyed SkCan is so selective on skating skills...Similar case is Ulyana Shiraeva in Canada
I don't have a problem with rewarding skating fundamentals over jumps, especially with young, developing skaters. Skating skills don't go away but jumps can. In the end, the best skaters are usually those able to do both. And look how well it turned out to all these competitors who were rewarded with high PCSs internally in Canada! Shi in 15th I take it?
