To be fair, it was definitely a q. In real-time, I did notice that there was something off with her landing, and in slow-motion one could argue that it was even borderline underrotated.Ted said 3A was on a q....
I hope she takes this confidence into JWC, because I really want to see Gurgenidze to solidify her position as a contenderInga GURGENIDZE

Very, very good skate by Inga, she'll be very happy about that. Maybe the mistake in the Short has lit the fire under her, well done. Without the Short, that would probably be a medal, with it, she'll have to wait and see.
I wish the first half was a bit more choreographically fleshed out like the second half, and I wish she would look down onto the ice a wee bit less (Unfortunately, I have a problem not being able to not notice small things like this anymore after it was pointed out to me once with a different skater)
I would say that as Mark frequently says that SS often determine the PCS. Both skaters could work on their SS a bit. They both seem fast but their basic skating isn't refined. Look at the basic crossovers... I do wish the judges would do better at separating the PCS categories, though. Inga's choreo is interesting and Shiqi is a performer.Well,I think PCS is lower than what I expect for Inga and Shiqi.
I am glad she landed it.To be fair, it was definitely a q. In real-time, I did notice that there was something off with her landing, and in slow-motion one could argue that it was even borderline underrotated.
It's less her tech calls (I almost always find myself agreeing with them), but often more other skater's lack of them that would be the issue.
She might have outgrown her coach, I dunno.I would say that as Mark frequently says that SS often determine the PCS. Both skaters could work on their SS a bit. For a perfectly executed program she one more point for PCS than in Ankara (was already cruelly low).Well,I think PCS is lower than what I expect for Inga and Shiqi.

It's a shame that skating skills alone determine PCS we end up with all these bland empty programs that we'll see at the GP final unless Von Felten has the skate of her life.I would say that as Mark frequently says that SS often determine the PCS. Both skaters could work on their SS a bit. They both seem fast but their basic skating isn't refined. Look at the basic crossovers... She already took care of not being a threat to the podium by losing her combo in the short. Her performance is unusual and interesting, but she doesn't have the glide/edges etc, and glide is what they look at for the most part. So, their scoring was fairly balanced with a modest 179. Podium girls will all be in high 190s. No way she could have gotten it on PCSFor a perfectly executed program she one more point for PCS than in Ankara (was already cruelly low).
They discriminate her normally, but I guess they were really scared of her getting a podium today especially with JGP final spots up for grabs.
Exactly. And yes, it could have been an underrotation. That edge call on the flip yesterday was really harsh for many skaters that's an unclear edge at worst, or sometimes they don't even call them (look at the senior world champion's lutz?).To be fair, it was definitely a q. In real-time, I did notice that there was something off with her landing, and in slow-motion one could argue that it was even borderline underrotated.
