hit and miss for Edrian BUT... the slow part with the piano music... and then the spin timed perfectly to it... gave me all the feelings.

EPC - so many popped jumps at the end.

But, big jumps. I hope he can learn all the triples.

3a unstable for him... he used to have an almost 4toe.. precovid. he is getting older... i think this is his swan song year.... skating at home, for nationals. He is from Saint-Laurent which is just across the river from Laval.

That second jump where he is supposed to go for a 3A always gets popped to a 1A. The 1A is starting to become a base element for him

I think the 1axel has to be intentional (place holder) because he does use 2 2axels later.
the first flip = fall but then he did manage a 3feu3s combo (sorta)
very strong opening 3lz-3t rippon nice to have a second lutz in there too...
he shouldn't have popped the loop though...

i wonder how much this will give him in terms of scoring goes
and i will be at the gym be then

Liked both Edrian and Anthony, senior Québécois men have the artistry market cornered.

ETA: And I got in later than expected and still saw both of them, but not settled in enough for commentary.

Mely Ann of course skated at the same time as EPC and Anthony.
Luckily, I’m able to see 10-20 minutes prior to LIVE
Mely Ann had issues on all her triples… and even 2A. The 3S is her only okay jump.
She is laughing at kiss n cry
But, to me that was a disappointment.
116.59… such a low score

That might not qualify her to Challenge depending on the leaderboard.

Yaena in second with six skaters left, I think that qualifies her now. Yes, she has the minimums from CQE.

2F-2Lo-2T is an interesting variation. Good skate for Laurence Gignac!

And she goes into first with 3 skaters left. This is how I think they stand:

1 - Laurence Gignac
2 - Stavrina Aranitis
3 - Selena Koster? (not sure if she was in first before this group)
4 - Alice Roy
5 - Yaena Nam
