Fiona and Ben (audio issues) - https://youtu.be/YfEPdaYcdiM
Jazmine and Kieran (also audio issues) - https://youtu.be/iTlcsoX42nc

I checked the protocol for Lyons/Haubrich, it wasn't the death spiral. They got a 3S<<, so that put it down to 0.78 with the negative GOE.
Wow! Fiona and Ben were 🔥
I’m thinking they can challenge for even 2nd best in Canada after watching this SP. Okay, I’ve watched what I wanted to watch at this sectional

@saine thanks so much

Fiona and Ben are looking good. I think Deanna and Max are safe in the No.1 Canadian spot for the moment (although they may fall down the rankings a bit internationally this season), but it looks like it will be quite a fight for your no.2 and 3 spots this season. On current form, I fear that Kelly-Ann and Loucas could be the ones to lose out.

Kelly Ann and Loucas would probably be number 4 if all of them competed this week... but, they have shown better outings last year than this year and those outings were strong. It's nice to have 4 good pairs ;)

If Lia and Trennt keep botching his SBS and her throws, they could be in trouble...

Kind of disappointing in Lia and Trennt results. They showed such promise their first year and even made the GP Final last year, but now are looking like they may not even get back to worlds.

Fiona and Ben need the Worlds CTES first before there's the possibility of Lia and Trennt not going to Worlds. There's only 3 teams that have it at the moment for the 3 spots.

I think Lia/Trennt will be fine to make Worlds this season.

Fiona/Benjamin barely won over a junior team. They won by 1.60.
Ben was sloppy on his triples. Doubling and then just giving up on the combo altogether.
Lia/Trentt are safe as 2nd best skaters
The battle will be for that third spot

Well, now that Kiki is skating senior, we are allowed to :love2::love2::love2: him

Jazzy and Kiki looked very good in this program. Not juniorish at all. Good choices of packaging for them too. I loved both of the costumes.

Looking forward to seeing both teams develop. Ben needs to jump. Fiona needs to trust her throw landings. She is shining. A true star !

Well, Ksenia was really good!!
A fall on a 3Lo and a 3Lzq were her only mistakes. Also, I’m waiting for her to add the 3T to her free skate, at some point.

She scored 160+ for the first time. I hope they send her to a Novice international event this season, so she can gain valuable experience prior to JGP circuit next season.

Here's the list of Junior Women who have the Challenge TES minimum (35.5 in the free skate):

Ashley Dinh
Kaylee Sun
Ksenia Krouzkevitch
Lily Lee
Lucille Yang
Mila Marleau
Natasha Hewitt
Sophia Mekki
Valeria Veprjitska
Reese Rose (bye to Challenge for competing at Tallinn Trophy)
Is there a similar list for Senior Women?
With so many spots given to ONT skaters, if they don’t use all their spots, and if not enough skaters earned the minimum, can they give one spot to Gabrielle Daleman, who skated well enough, at one of the Sectional Series?

Madeline Schizas
Hetty Shi
Katherine Medland Spence
Elise Dawson
Monica Finlay
Maya Isabelle (switched to Ontario from Quebec this season)
Bella Jia
Miriam Kleiman
Lulu Lin
Natalie Roccatani
Megan Woodley
Kara Yun

For Gabrielle, she isn't listed in the entries or listed as having a bye. She did get the minimums in the summer. I'm not sure what's going on with her not being entered here. But she would have to request a bye from Skate Ontario to be able to enter according to their policy.
