Nice skate from Elise Dawson. She was one of the standouts for me yesterday as well. I've no idea why I've never noticed her before.

Kara is a beautiful skater, but those falls are going to really hurt her score. 3 falls is 4 points deduction. The third one was a freak fall, too.

Wow! Katherine shocked me. She lost to Maddie with the last popped triple. But, she has a good balance between jumps and artistry. I would not be surprised to see her as part of the 4CC team. She was so good!!

National Ladies is going to be a fight this year. Maddie was showing promise again and now she has slide backwards. Katherine now has to be added to the possible of medaling list. That makes it about 6 or 7 in the fight for medals.

I am not yet convinced about KMS. I will need to see her on her international event. Nice, easy jumps when landed. Very good technician. But a bit bland. So it may be hard for her to have the personality to get high scores, considering nobody knows about her on the international scene. Heck, many do not know her within Canada.

Back/Mahoney just skated their short, Senior Pairs will start soon.

They scored 43.49

Stream issues resolved by the step sequence. 55.54 for the short.

Haubrich/Lyons did well! I liked their jumps and the throw 47.79, maybe it was the death spiral...

Wow. Jazzy and Kiki doing seniors ? Of course, they should but they will need triple SBS jumps soon then. At the same time, I have enjoyed the Brits all season and they don't do triples.

I checked the protocol for Lyons/Haubrich, it wasn't the death spiral. They got a 3S<<, so that put it down to 0.78 with the negative GOE.
