Another beautiful free skate from Rino. She moves so softly and so fast, and her knee bend on her jump landings gets so deep at times. (The older I get, the more I appreciate my knees.) That final 3S looked huge. Her spirals are highlights for me, both in the choreo sequence and at the start of the step sequence. Lovely spins to finish.

I’ll take that from Matsuike. It was a nervy start, but she quickly got herself together. I hope she gets a handle on her nerves because she’s way too good. She shouldn’t have to dig herself out all the time. My favorite free program from a lady this season.

Watching Rino's skating is always such a joy. She's so smooth even when she makes a few mistakes. She seemed a lot less nervous today! Amazing job from Rino!

The Senior women skated their Short Program after 9 o'clock in the evening (local time), and now that they are skating earlier, they are (so far) skating better (not flawless, but better).

A little tight at points from Kaori, but considering her disaster practice this morning, she should be so proud of this skate. She added her +2T combo to her 3Lz and fought for every single element, and really performed. That is what a 3x World Champion does.
