Kaori can do better than that... but it's okay. I think the first lutz is very flutzy ... but i am no expert.

I'm not either, but I immediately thought flutz when I saw it - for whatever that's worth. LOL

It is amazing and vice also how she stopped the slide when music stopped. Sometimes skaters get time violations because they slide too long.

While it didn’t have the magic she displayed at the NHK Trophy, Kaori was leaps and bounds better in the FS than the SP and she fought through those jumps. It wasn’t easy, but it sure was strong. Her ice coverage on her jumps really sets her apart from everyone else.

A tight and uncomfortable skate for Sakamoto in the first half. She relaxed a bit after completing the 3F+3T. I still don’t like the program, but I can get with it if she performs it like she did at NHK.

Definitely tight for Kaori but it's much better than the SP. I still stand my opinion that this isn't my favorite music for her, but this performance, tight as it was, is winning me over. Love the stsq and the jumps on each beat.

Hooray, Kaori! She is so happy at the end of that skate. Amazed by how she managed to land that first flip. I am starting to appreciate how hard this programme is as well, with flip and lutz combinations left for the second half.

Edit: brain is back online, it's how late in the second half the flip and lutz combination happens that impress me, with almost everything else including the step sequence having been skated before.
