2025 U S. Nationals Senior Pairs Short Program

Ok, the service guys we’ve been waiting for have my permission to come and look at our oven during Zamboni time…

(We’ve been waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes 😑)

Yipes what does "mean lady" do?
Snottily asks me how I got all that cr@p into the arena (cr@p being stuffies and flags), my answer was "Through the front door, and I intend to have a good time, I suggest you try to find a way to do the same.") I usually never sit by her, she's a high dollar donor and a front row sitter, but in Allen front row center ice is the handicapped section. Yay Allen. I will go to any skating event there without question.
Nice sparkly jacket guy actually approached me outside the arena and talked to me about the stuffies, said they had a good time seeing who I threw a huge one to.
Oh and the opposite part of the arena from the K&C is where the party people, standing ovation, loud cheerers sit.

Just tuned in, and already fascinated by the dulcet Midwestern tones of the rink announcer/entertainer

Almost makes me nostalgic for Rusty :)

I miss Rusty! I like him. Also, the first time I heard him in person he interviewed Jason Brown at his first Sr. GP ... Skate America. And it was really great.

Timmy/Ellie - wonderful... as soon as they started I knew they would be the leaders going into group 2.

Sydney/Matt - wow they have improved so much! Looking forward to their future. Definitely strong sbs jumpers which is exciting!

Danny/Grace- underwhelming. Expected more from them, compared to the other teams they were slower and labored. The pair skating/elements didn't seem like a team that has been skating together for three years

Linzy/Keaton - so unfortunate. I really wanted them to have a strong outing since they have been working so hard. Hopefully this will be a learning chapter for her not to let a mistake ruin the whole program

You've just given me a very funny memory!

A local radio station used to do what they called 'Phone Taps', where a listener could arrange the station to do a prank call to a friend or family member.

Two of the of the on air personalities were women who could put on strong accents, from where they grew up.

A listener called in, and asked for a Phone Tap to a friend on his birthday. The twist was the two women were to do the call, and make it an "adult" call, but use their accents.

so the guy ends up getting a call from two women trying to "seduce" him, one with a strong Brooklyn accent, and the other with a strong Midwestern accent.

I was crying with laughter over that one.
